I've been reading stuff for my myth, archetype, and fairytale class and gathering refs for a painting I'm about to start. It's been a really boring day for me.

But reading about myths, fairytales, is fun!

It is fun, the reading myths part. I just got a good muse for the story I have to write for that class based on a myth I just read. The class is only about a 3rd reading myths and fairytales though.

There's a myth I didn't know of until today where Apollo becomes enchanted by a young spartan prince, but the west wind also likes him and gets jealous, so he kills the prince. But it was indirectly Apollo's fault. Such tragedy! But Apollo is such a horrid asshole! Like, he's worse than Zeus!

look for Apollo and Hyacinthus. The hyacinth flower comes from him. It's the only occasion I know of where a god gets involved with someone of the same gender.
