I made something up. It should be good enough. It's more of a lame excuse though. Oh well. I'm positive that i've read this fact before too, but I totally forgot because everyone just assumes that bats are blind! Macrobat species actually have quite good vision and don't use echolocation. O.o wft. Well, people talk about the microbats more anyway.
haha okay works for me. I learned about bats from The Magic School Bus
is that show really helpful?
haha yes it is, even at my age.
The only thing I remember about that show is a book where they go to space and someone takes their helmet off on the moon and doesn't die.
Hello hugs everyone
hey star! How are you this fine day?
ah yes. its unrealistic, but, the facts are true.
I don't remember the facts being true. o.o
facts are true things.
Quote:
Bats use echolocation to send out sound waves when they open their mouths to make a sound that bounces back in order to know they won't bump into anything. There are also bats that are hungry while flying so they grab a moth (or such) with their feet and eat in the ear while flying feeding it to their mouths. |
I'm doing pretty good
fine fine. Those facts are real. the space book I read was all sorts of off though. Quite a few of the facts were off and I knew that even as a kid when I read it.
Did you know that a caterpillar completely turns to goo inside of the cocoon while it's remaking itself? Even the bones dissolve. Totally creepy!!!!!! simple but true. Vesper (the largest and most wide-spread genus) bats echolocate by emitting sound by their mouth, but other bats send the sound out through their nose! I'm such a factoid. It runs in my family. That's good, Star. I'm doing great myself. |
never knew that.
the bats one was my favorite. |
I know lots of facts like that because I always research for my stories or my teachers tell me cool things. But I can still never be the ultimate fount of knowledge in my family. My dad is always much more right than I am.
Your dad is older than you. So of course he knows more. Also, excuse my post, i have a huge headache.
I'm just talking on the phone
go take a pain killer then, Rane!
well yes...but even on things I've studied and he hasn't, he knows more. He read encyclopedias and dictionaries as a child. I most certainly did not. Much. isn't it hard to talk on the phone and type at the same time? |
Not really I'm using speaker phone right now. plus I'm charging it at the same time can't wait till next march come's.
ah. I never use things like speaker phone. I don't know how to turn it on, though I did it once by accident.
what's in march? |
My cell phone contract ends then I can get a new cell phone in March.
oh, that's cool. I haven't gotten a new phone in at least four years. The battery in mine is crap now, so I need to constantly charge it.
Wow that has to be a pain I bet. my contract only last for 2 years so once 2 years is up I can pick out a new cell phone.
I'm sure I could have gotten a new phone ages ago, but no one ever got me a new one, so I keep this one that was a piece of junk from the day I got it.
Aw but I hope the phone I want will still be around next year. by the way how have you been lately Kat-chan?
im working on getting an android because my phone is worth 25 dollars now, it was 50 something.
