metaphoric... they do emotional damage. The most that snake did was leave 2 small marks on my hand.

I know a mean bird that bit me for no reason. all I did was try pet it my aunt owned it for a long time. but they got rid of it at last. the bird hated just about anyone for no reason. it bit me on my hand the evil thing. [illgetu]

It likely either only liked being pet by a select few or didn't like being pet.
