And I was just about to start writing that rp ... XD Cause I finally figured out my character's name, and from there everything else will flow.

you have a hard time picking character names? i usually have an easy time of it, but it can be hard. I was googling for the perfect name for my bad guy in that short story. still don't think I got it, but I was searching for some time.

Well I take a while to pick names, because usually my idea for the whole character stems from that and nothing else. It's like ... Trying to find an actor without knowing their name. It's hard, nearly impossible, and then when you stumble on the name everything just falls into place.

I go on things by instinct. sometimes it's the first thing that pops in my head, sometimes I search. I just go through types of names, but I figure if a name pops into my head, it popped up there for a good reason. it's a little more tricky when I need the name to specifically tell something. Like I needed Permute to refer to change, but I didn't want it obvious. I dunno. it depends on how creative of a mood I'm in.

Well when it comes to place names and such I'm not nearly so picky, lol

I name my characters whatever I fancy. lately I've been stealing names or similar sounding ones from whatever I'm interested in like a kpop idol or something. things that I'm madly in love with. I used to be so much more picky, but after you have as many characters as I do, you just picking whatever you haven't used before.

Ooh I have this babyname book that I use all the time, though I really need to find another one because this one is falling apart.

Heck sometimes I'll even use names form mangas for fun are a anime. it depends on how long it takes me to think up a name.
