I always lost sleep over papers. They're just SO hard to write!!

For me it's finding motivation to start, once I start - I get them done no problem - my last paper for this class I wrote the day it was due, and I got a 91% on it. And that was with me teaching myself how to write in APA as I was going.

I'm an insomniac... it's hard for me to lose anymore sleep than I'm already losing over that.

Getting started is hard for me. Then the first page or two are okayish. And the second half or 2/3rds of the paper are hell. I do okay grade wise (I think. It's not like papers were handed back with grades on them 80% of the time) but they're very hard for me.
I can only write creatively.

This is what I'm doing it on - which helps because it's on a topic that I actually do enjoy - this story I do loooove! (you don't need to know ASL to get the majority of it). :]

I totally do get what you're saying. For me it just depends on if I like the topic. I have a feeling that the main reason I'm dragging with this one is because I'm just so sick of school in general, that it's dragging me down.

I don't think I've ever written a paper about something I really wanted to write about. I don't know if there is such a thing. Creative nonfiction is another thing. Memoir? Sure. It's not nonfiction I have a problem with. It's proving a point in a paper.

I've had to write about myself for a paper once... o.m.g... THAT was the hardest paper I've ever had to write. Especially since I had to re-write it as I didn't go into depth about a part of my life I'd rather not remember. During the whole re-write, I was crying so hard, I could barely even see the screen. Thank goodness I have the keyboard memorized! D:

I can't do a writing about myself that's serious. And I don't want to use a style that reminds me of junior high english writing classes. Like, I did a short about how mene changed my life and it was a fun style with quotes from me and my friends and the emotes in it. It was me giving up and hating the assignment and just BSing, but the story was super well received. It's posted on this site somewhere, years ago. But yeah, it's creative nonfiction for a reason.

Sadly it had to be that serious and in depth... :( Per my teacher's orders. I had to write about losing Nemo. T_T

Alright, my essay is totally done, put into the format that she wants and turned in.. so now whenever I do manage to sleep.. I don't need to worry about not waking up in time to have time to finish it. What a relief. :]

Yeah, and then my insomnia kept me up till 4:30 am. At least I managed to sleep in... till 11:30. (I did wake up at 7:30 but did fall back to sleep).

Well, that's not too bad.

Yeah... at least the paper's done and I don't need to work on it. :)

Did it turn out well?

Eh... the first part I think so - the second part... it's as good as I can make it. But I'm kinda to the point where I'm just glad it's done either way.

I just finished organizing my new items into my invo. I got a big donation that I need to play with soon.
