No, but the way that they talk to me makes me feel like that's how they think.

Lavinia 12-11-2014 01:50 AM

I'd love to get one of them really good pairs of headphones, but i have other things i'd rather spend that much money on, like a better laptop or phone!

---------- Post added 12-11-2014 at 02:53 AM ----------

Woop, i found my earphones, now lets see if they still work =/

Kat Dakuu 12-11-2014 01:53 AM

I may be asking for headphones for christmas. I don't want expensive ones, but I use them too much for cheap ones to last long.

My current pair didn't last long. I bought way toooo cheap!

I believe my last pair was about...$10

CloudDreamer 12-11-2014 01:53 AM

I love my expensive headphones! ^_^ They make flying so much easier! ^_^

Lavinia 12-11-2014 01:54 AM

I don't think their brains work well enough to form an opinion CLoud, if it did then they'd know you are just trying to get through college and get an education. All they seem to care about is pissing people off and going out drinking.

CloudDreamer 12-11-2014 01:55 AM

And partying and bringing lots of annoying friends over.

On a totally unrelated note, I bought myself some ice cream, ate a bit, and put the container on my side table... and then took an unexpected nap... without putting the ice cream in the freezer. [gonk] It's all melty now. xD but still good at least.

Kat Dakuu 12-11-2014 01:57 AM

oh yes, flying is horrible for music! The expensive headphones help?

oh my. Don't let the ice cream die! Ice cream is precious. I'm avoiding eating some now because...I already ate cookies and candy. XD

CloudDreamer 12-11-2014 01:59 AM

My expensive headphones are Bose over the ear noise canceling headphones. [yes] So yep, at least those ones do help make flying a bit easier for me. :] These headphones. :]

I'm half eating half drinking it now. It's still yummy. I usually wouldn't let myself have any, but I had a rough day - I needed to help myself feel better somehow. [yes]

MoodyBats 12-11-2014 02:00 AM

I would like to try Bose.
My dad says they suck but he never bought the headphones.
I think he said he bought speakers from the brand or something.

In my opinion Everything and anything is better than the brand skull candy. =~=

CloudDreamer 12-11-2014 02:00 AM

Omg, they don't suck! They are totally amazing!! [heart] They're wonderful headphones!! <3
I love mine! *hugs them*

MoodyBats 12-11-2014 02:01 AM

I will have to be the judge of that when I do get a job.

Lavinia 12-11-2014 02:01 AM

Ach stop talking to me about sweet stuff! I resisted going to the shop before it closed when i was craving it cause last time i gave myself migraine eating too many cookies xD

But now i really want cookies! T_T

Why does December always bring out my sweet tooth even though it makes me ill.

CloudDreamer 12-11-2014 02:02 AM

Fuu: to me they were worth the 300$. :] ^_^ (Although they were actually a gift from my parents.)

Lavi: Awww! That's not good. Stay away from the sweets!

Lavinia 12-11-2014 02:02 AM

Fuu - Mine are skull candy ahah! I don't really care as long as they work and have a bit of soundproofing for the family so i can hide in my laptop corner listening to heavy metal without annoying people

---------- Post added 12-11-2014 at 03:03 AM ----------

Gosh i would never get a gift that expensive. They wouldn't even get me a cheap laptop when mine broke they just gave me their spare crappy netbook that is sooooo slow.

But eh, i don't complain when its free. I'll buy myself one when i can xD

---------- Post added 12-11-2014 at 03:05 AM ----------

That came out wrong and made me sound spoilt. Sorry.

I just mean if i want something i usually have to get it myself, cause i only really get hand-downs as gifts xD

I've always wanted a pair just to see how they sound to me.
To me it is all about the quantity. I go through so many brands of earbuds and headphones quite fast so I will see how they sound and if I like them as well as how long they will last and worth the $300

CloudDreamer 12-11-2014 02:05 AM

One of the main reasons for the headphones was as a way to give me a break from sounds when I felt myself getting over stimulated. They really do help with that. [yes]

My skull candy broke the day i got them so yeah..cheap ass brands I do not care for.

Kat Dakuu 12-11-2014 02:05 AM

bose are really expensive! I feel like my penchant for breaking tech stuff would be bad with that.

ah but Skull candy is what I have now. They have lasted only three months and were finicky from the day I bought them.

Sounds like something I really need.
I am easily distracted. Music helps me get away from the drama in my life
as well as concentrate without hearing anything in my surroundings.

I've had mine for almost 9 months now, still in the same quality that I got them in and the sound is great. if I lived closer, I'd let you try out mine. :]
I do like that I don't have to use them with the cord plugged into anything. If I just want to have them on to block out most sounds (sure it's not 100% noise canceling, but it does an amazing job over all) I can just put them on and turn them on and not need to listen to music or anything. :] ^_^

For me it's not that I get distracted - I actually get over stimulated by sound, and it will give me headaches, this is just one way that I can try to fight that. [yes]

Bose are expensive, I tried Skull Candy, but they broke too soon after I got them... Bose are amazing quality and I love them! <3

Lavinia 12-11-2014 02:08 AM

Yeah skull candy don't last long, i rarely have a pair more than 3 months, but they're cheap enough that i don't mind buying one every 3 months cause i can't really afford to spend loads at once right now.

Speaking of affording things, apparently i have been invited to the second interview for the job, but nobody has let me know when or where, it's annoying. I know its on the 16th but thats it. Why does one person know i've passed but nobody will tell me where to go or what i need to take?!

This is when Two Steps From Hell come in for me. It's movie/trailer music so it's mostly lyrics free. Perfect for concentrating to :)

Nothing to me will ever be 100% noise cancelling.
So I can make due with less than 100% of noise cancelling.

the slightest sound distracts me forever and I loose focus quite easily.
I hardly have to try to get distracted really.

That kind of music doesn't actually help me concentrate.
I am an odd one as my parents tell me.
Screamo and loud up beat music makes me concentrate more then no vocals and soft music. Soft music distracts me majorly.

Kat Dakuu 12-11-2014 02:14 AM

That's stressful and silly, Lavi! They should automatically tell you what you need to know for your interview. But congrats on getting invited to the second one.
I spent today doing job aps. Might do another in a bit.

Lavinia 12-11-2014 02:14 AM

We are all different i guess!

It used to be angry metal music for me too, but only before i found these guys, they are my new obsession.
I've heard it so many times its just background noise now, rather than me concentrating on how it sounds, which i tend to do with Folky music.

---------- Post added 12-11-2014 at 03:16 AM ----------

Kat - I knew i would be, i'm awesome! xD

But yeah, annoying cause i want to be prepared and it's pretty soon!
I don't have interview clothes so i kinda need to know if its a formal one or not or i can just go in a black top and black trousers like i did first time (which is what i'd be working in if i got this job so i figured it was smart to them xD )
