Once i get a good camera i shall be straight to you or Cloud for help i promise! xD

For me, if the picture is crap... I don't edit it, I throw it out. That simple. I want to show people what I truly did see, not an edited version of a photo of what I saw. All about showing honestly what was there, not what I Wished was there with colors, lighting etc....

Yeah Cloud if i wanted black and white i'd take it black and white not change it later :P

But a challenge is a challenge i suppose! I shall see what pictures you choose xD

Eh, I don't edit photos in the way that it seems that most people do, so I'm not actually a good person to go to - I more or less just delete, and if I want a photo in black and white, I change the settings on my camera and take then in black and white. [yes]

Thats fair enough! Sometimes people edit way too much and make it look unnatural so it's more like art than photography.

I'm the same as you though Cloud, i want it to be a good picture, not one that requires changing to become good.

I know which ones I'm using already and they look ok in black and white, but in color they're better... eh... it's only for five pictures and the originals are still in color. [yes] So it's ok.

Really? A lot of pictures look better in B&W.

Mmmhmmm, and it kind of pisses me off these days if I get asked "So did you edit this?" Is it that hard to believe that I don't edit and that is what I did see? Right place, right time with a camera, and was able to get a picture that apparently was too good to not be photoshopped.... *sighs* That just shows how much emphasis is put into photo editing... and not just enjoying the natural colors that is in the world around us. [yes]

I have people who look at me when I Tell them If I take 200 pictures... I'll probably only keep 50 of those. The rest get deleted. [yes] *truth*

I like people photo's in black and white, especially if i'm in a place that can look old like some of the villages here in England, but if it's nature then i need to see ze colour!

Kat: I'm picky.... because it wasn't how I took the picture. I really hate editing photos.... like loathe it. Sure they look ok... but the color... with some of these, is what made me fall in love with them in the first place.

Cloud i'd love to show you Edinburgh, you'd be taking SO MANY PICTURES you would never put your camera down haha xD

Haha, that was me in Australia - I was there for 3 1/2 weeks, and I took 1200 pictures (AFTER EDITING DAILY). [yes]

Y'all only see the pictures that turn out looking good and are worth showing - I delete roughly 3/4 of what I take. [yes]

I just googled Edinburgh and there were two pictures from the same place, but one with WAY TOO MUCH EDITING.

But yeah Cloud, you would have a very nice time in Edinburgh with your camera, providing you are willing to climb a small hill or two haha (small being about 850ft)

Oh, yeah, the natural looking one is so much better looking - to me... the other one just looks like a painting... give me what you really see... not what you wish you see! But omg! Gorgeous! And for that, yes! I'd so be willing to walk up a small hill!! [yes]

@Lavinia - looks like a gorgeous place! Agree that second photo seems over-edited, but perhaps that was the intention of the editor?

I didnt take anywhere NEAR enough photo's last time i was in scotland, i only had my phone and you already know i can't take pictures on that thing.

I didn't want to risk it turning off after taking a picture on the hill and then hurting myself and being unable to call for help

So next time i go back, i shall have a good camera, and take as many as i can fit on it! xD

Salvete: If you say so - sometimes I feel like my photography skills are lacking. I have an aunt who loves to critique my techniques every time she can... and then as soon as she tries to make me do something that I've tried and failed at doing and have worked out a technique that works for me... she goes "but I Really like your photos." THEN STOP TELLING ME HOW TO TAKE PICTURES! They turn out... I just don't do things exactly how she does them. D: *sighs*

Yeah Sal like i said, some photographers like to turn their photo's in to art. Some people like that kind of stuff, but i like natural looking photo's just like Cloud.

Oh god now i wish i could go to Edinburgh for new year, it looks so pretty there at Christmas time!

Oh and the castle of course.

But there are so many hidden gems there and so many pretty streets there's always something new to look at.

I could talk about it forever though, it's my favourite place. So far at least seen as i haven't travelled much xD

Too many places in the world I wanna go see! Why must I be broke! D:

I mean, how many cities can you say have an ocean, an extinct volcano, a nature reserve, a castle, an award winning university, and a old style town all in one?!
