I know some people do it online using skype or some such as well that way you can get that face to face and general chatter that goes with it. I imagine it's a much different feel doing it on a forum like this, but it does have its own convenience as well.

Shadami 04-30-2016 04:36 AM

roll20.net is the free online one that alot of people use.

I'd really kind of like to try this though. but who would be interested is the problem. and specifially.. interested in doing it with a terrified DM nervous about screwing up. xD

Kat Dakuu 04-30-2016 04:39 AM

never heard of that. Interesting.

Aw, come now. I'm sure you'll do fine and you should be able to find some people. Who knows, I may even decide to join. I'll have to learn how to do it and all though.

MoodyBats 04-30-2016 10:25 PM

I am not posting as much since I am changing my schedule.

Shadami 04-30-2016 11:32 PM

everyone keeps telling me i'll do fine. But i have this problem where i want to be perfect and it really causes anxiety if i think i'm not going to be. so i don't do the thing. or i can't do things if people are watching. o>.<o its silly and i know it. but that is the defintion of a phobia *crosses arms and pouts pointedly* xD

and i can teach. but i still have to figure out a way to adjust the character sheet so soemthing workable online.

Kat Dakuu 05-01-2016 01:28 AM

You can always make a discussion in the rp forum too to see if anyone has done something like this before and has some advice. I'm sure that would help.

Inspiration 05-01-2016 09:15 PM

well i set it up to see if anyone would be interested.. with patience because i'd be new at doing it in forum style, and as a fairly new DM.

Kat Dakuu 05-01-2016 10:49 PM

I saw the thread. I'm still trying to decide if I want to join or not. It's scary coming out of my bubble! *hides under blanket*

Inspiration 05-02-2016 02:50 AM

I'm repeatedly trying to pop my own bubble. and holy cow its almost midnight. i'm running late tonight. wow.

Kat Dakuu 05-02-2016 02:53 AM

haha. I find myself in bed by midnight most nights, but I've got out of schedule lately.

Inspiration 05-02-2016 02:57 AM

well. i have to force myself to stop by midnight. so i didn't get nearly as many posts in today as i wanted to. this weekend was busy busy busy.

Kat Dakuu 05-02-2016 03:02 AM

I know the feel. Normally I'm quite ready to pass out by 11 or 11:30 though. I do wake up as early as 5am for work after all.

Inspiration 05-02-2016 03:06 AM

well its midnight. and i have to borrow items tomorrow for this avatar. xD i can't go out and try to find them now. must force myself to sleep.

i don't have to be up at 5 am... but 7am ^^;; and that's only a decent amount of sleep for me to get enough energy to take care of two insane toddlers. plus.. that's if they let me sleep throught hte night. and if i get to sleep right away.

Kat Dakuu 05-02-2016 03:10 AM

What items are you looking for?

yeah. Kids are great like that. My work schedule is pretty unstable. I'm being moved more and more toward closing shifts though instead of mostly mornings and a few nights thrown in every couple weeks. So that's me getting home at 11pm and throws everything off wack.

Inspiration 05-02-2016 10:36 AM

aww man :/ that's like my husband working the graveyard shift. He's thinking of taking a different shift if he can get it where he'll be 2 am to 10 am instead, that way he can sleep until midnight and get the girls to bed instead of have to be showering during that time.

Kat Dakuu 05-02-2016 03:27 PM

That sounds like a worse shift to me. I don't mind closing. I actually used to do it all the time and love it, but it's always hectic now. The closing crew is most of my favorite coworkers though.

The Wandering Poet 05-02-2016 05:22 PM

Wow I've missed a lot of conversation. If someone hosts a DnD campaign I would most definitely want to join :D (Here or otherwise)
Roll20 I've heard of but I had a lot of trouble figuring it out.

Kat Dakuu 05-02-2016 05:29 PM

Well, shadami made a post about it in the rp forum.

Inspiration 05-03-2016 12:05 AM

I did. under unspiration though not on shadami. I'm going to attempt to run a campaign on here. good or bad as it might turn out ^^;;;;

and i'm still hesitant on if its better or not. The upside is he'd be able to be home to get me to sleep before he would get up at midnight. and he'd have most of the day with the girls and I. sleeping 7-12 is better than the 5-9 that he's been getting. he starts work now anywhere between 10pm and midnight.

Kat Dakuu 05-03-2016 03:22 AM

Hm. There are definitely some benefits to that. I mean, whatever works for you guys is worth a shot.

MoodyBats 05-03-2016 09:22 AM

I am so close to figurng out
how to write out my story.
I got the introduction chapter pretty much done.

It's just the plot and after that i am unsure of.

Inspiration 05-03-2016 12:12 PM

I don't know what will work better . :/

Kat Dakuu 05-03-2016 02:52 PM

Hmmm plots are important. I have a couple stories like that though. Just not sure where to take them.

Yeah, shadami. I hope it all works out.

Shadami 05-03-2016 03:30 PM

thanks. i'm rather low spirited today. Like i'm not good enough. it's one of those icky days... Gonna try to lift my spirits once my little one gets off the bus. will hand her, her tablet. than listen to some musicl...

Kat Dakuu 05-03-2016 03:42 PM

[hug] I see. That's too bad.
