yeah. it's silly i know. But i can't draw my own characters. I've got the idea in my head for them that once i try to draw it and i can't get it perfect i give up. Same with self portraits. I suuuuuucck at them.

yeah, that's true, but I also hate when others draw my oc's wrong so I want to have at least some reference straight from my mind. But I do enjoy drawing other people's characters from time to time. Or at least I used to. I don't know what art I like to do now.

xD i wish i could get some of my idea out so people could see. But they also tend to not stray from what i draw at all.

Start brief and get more specific? I mean, the details you will need depends on the kind of story it is. You can always find a decent profile skeleton and fill in all the details on that.
