Hurricane season happens around summer and fall over here. we rarely get snow here when we do never get. a foot of the stuff just a few inches on the ground make the roads icy.

I'd rather have snow, but that's probably just because that's what I'm used to and know how to deal with.

How do you deal with hurricanes anyway?

Depends on how bad the storm is. If you just catch a side, stay inside, board up windows and take stuff out of the yards that could become a projectile weapon and wait it out. If you have to worry about flooding, board up everything and evacuate. I've been through a decent storm and just a few small ones we didn't even board windows for.

Oh wow! You know, wouldn't that be a great rp situation? Having random characters have to huddle together in a house during a storm of some kind?

I use to be in flood area's growing up. but now a days I'm away form those areas. it feels nice not having to worry about floods.

Oh wow! It's only happened once where I live and I was away when it happened, but I heard it was pretty bad.
Can't imagine going through that.

Last year there was bad flooding around here. the middle school got flooded so badly the water went over the rooftops. are neighborhood was safe,only if you stayed in. if you had go out had take a boat ride just out to the store buy things.

yes, yes, and yes. Also works for snow storms, tornadoes and all other natural disasters. Snow storms are romantic, but a hurricane is deliciously scary!

Our floods were some of the worst last summer as well, but nothing like what you went through, Star. There are definitely still situations where people needed boats to get out of places.

My state gets odd luck with summer rain storms. the coach and principal emailed Ellen for help. she donated money to the middle school help get it fix. how would have guess she is form Louisiana I sure as heck did not know.

I also agree that sounds like a fun rp

*whines* I have a plot I'm craving really bad and the person I mentioned it to didn't respond! But I want the cuteness!
