I've been learning to do my new job for the past two weeks. One more classroom week to go and then it's onto the floor. I've never studied so much in my whole life. I didn't put nearly this much effort into university.

Things are alright. I wish this hurricane would stop sitting on top of us though. Too much water.

It's a call center job for an airline. They take training you seriously.

Looks like my apartment complex is holding up well. The parking lot isn't flooded and we can still get in and out but nothing was open today. Not sure about tomorrow. I'm supposed to work in the afternoon. Harvey is legit camping out above us. Made landfall friday night.

Ah, I remember now. Totally makes sense that you would have a lot of training but that's really cool. How's your apartment?

I saw some really horrendous pictures and it made me worry about you a lot but I didn't feel comfortable enough to pop in and ask some more if you were okay. My apartment is a bachelor/studio apartment. It's small and charming with a carpet. I've never lived in a place with a carpet before ... And it's a bit of a mess because I haven't been keeping up with cleaning it. I did finally get some cleaning supplies though, so it should get better during the next week.

Hi, and yeah, hummy. Everyone I know is good. Because it's mostly rain rather than wind, we haven't had a lot of power outage problems. The problem is that the stupid hurricane won't move on. Other areas are getting hit far worse. I ache a lot more for South Padre and Corpus Christi.

Wingsy went off to her parents' earlier today because those roads were passable but she's staying over there. It's just me right now, but we've got supplies. I should be able to get to work tomorrow even if it keeps raining, but I still don't know if we will really open. We were supposed to open today, but the GM couldn't get to the store.

ooh, that does sound like a nice little place. When you get it cleaned up, you should share some pictures. We have carpet in our apartment, but we don't have a vacuum, so it's a little dingy........

I find myself wanting to read old rps again to see if I feel like writing themwr or if they would just make me want to write at all.
Lately I haven't written much at all. I did start drawing again though, a little.

Oh I'm really happy to hear that everyone is safe. I literally sat and cried while watching the news. This one guy was putting his big screen TV in his SUV and they showed his apartment building behind him and it was just boards and everything else was blown away it wasn't really flooded in that area but I was just so sad for everyone.

I'm really in the mood to start new rps and make new characters and such, but it's always nice to see old ones pop up again too. I like to reread some from time to time, but it makes me miss them so much!

Yeah, that doesn't sound like anywhere around here. We have no wind at all. Only constant rain.

I'm going to go outside for a bit because across the parking lot, it looks like water is getting down the hall to the first floor apartments in the other building. I want to see how far it's reaching on mine.
