*oozes in* Hey all. If I start doing late-night, seemingly-stoned posts for the next month, it's probably due to my annual participation in NaNo and the sleep deprivation that goes along with it. Just warning y'all now X'D.

I think I'm going to buy my dad some of the Vietnamese reserve coffee we have right now. It's one of my personal favorite coffees ever ingested.

I've only written about 600 words so far. It's gonna be a struggle today I think. Because it feels to me like I've written a whole lot more than that.....

What is this NaNo? I never heard of this before. by the way I had a nice Halloween to kids dress up form DBZ. plus had some Harry Potter fans too.

NaNoWriMo is short for National Novel Writing Month. It's a writing challenge where you write 50,000 words in one month.

I like deadlines sometimes so it works pretty well for me. I get a lot done I wouldn't write otherwise.

Oh I write otherwise. But giving myself a deadline like this lights the proverbial butt fire so I can get said butt in gear.

I've felt like it, it's just that my current fic is Yu-Gi-Oh (yes, I still like it. dorky, I know), which means a looot of dueling...which I suck at writing X'D. Hence a lot of procrastination on that front....

Oh dear, I can't imagine writing dueling scenes. I don't like fight scenes especially when they get drawn out, so something as tedious and organized as card dueling must take a lot of effort.

Ohhhh yeah. It's why I both love and hate writing YGO fic. I love the series, and I love writing everything else, but the gameplay kills me. It's not even being unfamiliar with the gameplay, it's just the going back and forth and....ughhhh. Even if there's plotty stuff involved with it it's a nightmare for me.

You need to find a story where you can just...not write the dueling scenes. Focus on other things instead.

I love Yu-Gi-Oh but I am a fan of fanfics that. have a good plot to it but sometimes I wonder how play. can not get bored typing out duels. since they can take so long just to start and finish them.
