It's this thing:

It was part of a new limited release or some such.

Antagonist 12-16-2018 12:56 AM

Yeah...haven't seen those around where I live. :(

I want to try the cherry and lime flavored ones so bad...

maidenroseheart 12-16-2018 03:47 PM

Those look really cool, I haven't seen them either but I live in rather a rural area. So if I go to a big city, I bet I could find them.

sailor star rainbow 12-16-2018 11:18 PM

I have seen them in stores by me. but I live close to a big city and we have a Coca-Cola bottling factory. so I guess being not in a small town has its perks.

Kat Dakuu 12-17-2018 12:01 AM

Lol. I only noticed them because they had a pretty weird advertising campaign for them.

Antagonist 12-17-2018 02:20 AM

I haven't seen anything like that around where I live, and I live in a pretty big city. But then again it's not in the United States so I guess it's a country thing. [sweat]

maidenroseheart 12-17-2018 02:38 AM

That is a possibility. When I was in South Korea for two years, the products that were offered in one country were not necessarily offered in the other. I found I preferred my Dr. Pepper in Korea over the USA, less acidic and more flavor. I also found that ice cream, breads, and mayo do not make me sick in Korea while in the States I must be careful or those same types of foods make me sick. *sigh* I miss South Korea... and eating anything I want...

Antagonist 12-17-2018 02:52 AM

I miss South Korea too...their fried chicken (or at least the restaurant I went to) was super delicious and I loved pairing it with the kimchee they provided. [drool] And skiing there was super fun as well. Wish I could go there on vacation again someday.

maidenroseheart 12-17-2018 03:00 AM

Oh their fried chicken... I had the ganjan chicken that is fried chicken but with a soy glazed outer coat... oh it was so delicious. I'm glad you enjoyed your time there as well!

Antagonist 12-17-2018 03:02 AM

The type I had was kind of honey glazed I think? So yummy and juicy. [drool] One of the best fried chicken I've had.

South Korea is pretty fun in my experience, though according to my parents who went with a tourist group rather than going with a friend as I had they said it wasn't as fun and my mom even got food poisoning from eating all the kimchee, which is a shame. [gonk]

maidenroseheart 12-17-2018 03:53 AM

Yeah, tourist groups tend to be go go go... though kimchi and food poisoning is new, sorry she had an unpleasant experience. You should take her someday!

Antagonist 12-17-2018 04:09 AM

I doubt she'd want to go there again, she did not have a good time there. [sweat] She had stomach problems for a week after she got back too because of the kimchee.

I think it was more that the tourist group went to rural scenic places but the scenes weren't up to their expectations. When me and my friend went we just mostly stuck to the Seoul, though we did go to a few scenic places like the skiing resort or this garden filled with artificial lights.

maidenroseheart 12-19-2018 02:48 AM

Ah got it. Hopefully future vacations for her are more enjoyable. Yeah, I liked the scenic stuff out there but didn't have the hype built up on what to expect. I spent a lot of time over by Daegu so I missed out on the more iconic stuff. Also I didn't like crowds so it was wherever the Korean teachers took us that I got to see. Though I did join a tour group for the DMZ. That was pretty cool, though different than I expected.

Antagonist 12-19-2018 04:29 AM

Yeah, the scenic stuff was okay, like, it was enjoyable, but would not have been too much of a loss even if I didn't see it. [lol]

I don't like crowds either but it seemed that everywhere we went it was crowded. Probably because of it being scenic stuff that tourists would like to see, and being in Seoul. [sweat] Aside from all the people it was pretty good though.

What was the DMZ tour like? [:O]

sailor star rainbow 12-20-2018 03:25 AM

I never been to any place outside of the united states. but I do know a youtuber that lives in South Korea currently. she call's herself sharmander she use to live in Japan for some years. if your lucky maybe she will have some links. to online stores where she buys some of her stuff form.

Kat Dakuu 12-22-2018 08:21 PM

I've always wanted to go to South Korea because of the kpop scene. I would love to experience a concert as it is in Korea and not just k-con or world tours. But I always find it an interesting country and I would like to eat all the foods. There's so much tasty looking dishes to try! Ah, but I have had kimchi a few times and never been impressed.

hummy 12-22-2018 09:17 PM

that's more or less an acquired taste.
try the beef bulgorgu bowls
or the barbecued beef [drool]

Antagonist 12-23-2018 02:52 AM

Fried chicken with daicon (daigon?? those white carrot like thingies) kimchee is super delicious. [drool] Would be even better with a flagon of beer I imagine.

Kat Dakuu 12-23-2018 06:11 AM

I do love me some Korean bbq. So much better than the Texan way of barbecuing! Somehow, that's not quite to my taste. I've never been fond of giant slabs of meat, slow roasted with special sauce or not.

Antagonist 12-23-2018 06:34 AM

I think I might have tried Korean BBQ...there was a metal pan and we would put slices of meat on it to cook. It was pretty good, I liked wrapping the meat up with the leaves and crunching on them. [drool]

Kirin Rosenbaum 12-23-2018 12:58 PM

Hello all.

Antagonist 12-23-2018 01:31 PM

Hey Kirin. Nice coat.

Kat Dakuu 12-23-2018 04:47 PM

yep, that's the Korean BBQ. I had it when I was in Hawaii at this ridiculous place called Gangman Style. >.> Psy logo and all.

Sup, Kirin. What chu been up to?

hummy 12-23-2018 10:33 PM
