The trip was great!

But the skeeters were terrible on Molokai!
Not even the ocean breeze was enough to keep them away.

Oh man! I bet that was odd, fighting the skeetos in February. [lol]

I hadn't thought to bring skeeter spray along, so I had to go buy some.
There's really only a couple of stores on Molokai.

Sounds fun though! Uncle-in-law lived in Kona. Hubby got to visit him while he lived there, but he moved back to the states before we got married so I never got to go.

Kona was nice.

We stayed at the King Kemehameha Beach hotel in Kona for 4 days.
That's where we snorkeled.

no DD has never been to hawaii but whenever i am somewhere and people complain about them... i will be like i have one mosquito bite...

I always welt up so badly when I get bit.

I got either an ant or a spider bite on my toe in Hawaii.
It's different from a skeeter bite...they get like a little whitehead at the bite spot.

My toe swelled up a LOT. And ITCHED!
Luckily, I had some high-powered cortisone cream that I had gotten from my doctor.
I put that on, and it stopped the itching. The bite will linger for a few weeks, but at least I'm not scratching it.

Same here. Last summer I got so many on my legs that they were constantly itching. D: Not fun! :(

Ant bites are the worse. I don't think i've been bitten by a spider. *shudders*

I'm allergic.

Any kind of ant or spider bite, and I swell right up.

Last summer I got a fireant bite on my leg, and it swelled up so badly I had to get steroids from the doctor to get the swelling down.

Hubby doesn't complain anymore when I spray myself down with the OFF.

The stuff I bought in Hawaii was called "Tropical Scent". It didn't smell bad at all.
I'm going to have to look for it here.

That's good at least that it didn't smell bad, hopefully you can find it where you are. :)

Yeah usually that stuff is so awful smelling. You almost (almost) hate to put it on.
