I don't think I've ever watched a live butchering of a chicken before. :o I should probably go to the market and see it for once. But then again I think they've banned selling live-butchered meat for now thanks to the H7N9 that was around a few months ago...

why would you want to see that?
am I the only one disturbed by killing animals? ;__;
I don't mind eating them, but I don't want to see them be processed

I don't mind watching animals being killed (including humans), but I don't want to be the one doing the killing. I'm not entirely sure I could watch them being killed right in front of me either, but at a distance or if it's on screen then I'm okay with it. As long as it wasn't a wasteful kill where they just kill the creature and leave it there. I'd rather that if you have to kill an animal, you at least eat it. (bugs being the exclusion...ewww)

I'd be horrified. I'm fine seeing raw chicken and stuff, but watching it be killed...no, i couldn't handle it. I think I'd be disturbed if i was forced to watch a live chicken be killed. The thought makes my eyes water. I think I'm just sensitive x.x

Well...if someone killed my pet chicken I'd be horrified too.

Same here. The only thing I could kill without feeling squeamish about are roaches and mosquitoes. I can't even kill a millipede or centipede or maggot even if I hate their asses. They're just so gross I don't want to be anywhere near them at all.

Me too. x ___x I hate the crunching sound. I prefer to trap the roaches in the house and then flush them away.

Oh, I just smash the shit out of those suckers. x.x if I'm not too scared to do it and get someone else to kill them.
The loud and furious slamming and cursing drowns out their crunching.
everything else I kinda hear the crunching for unless I treat them like a roach.

I think if I didn't have to see the mush that was their intestines smeared across the floor I might not mind so much.

@Momo: No one in the house cleans them up so I'd have to do it...or ignore the intestines until they dry up and turn to dust and gets blown away where I don't see them.

@Momo: lol Sure! My usual way of dealing with them is to not deal with them and wait until they turn to powder and disappear on their own.

there are several different spots on it that have been were we've killed palmeto bugs and just forgot to clean up the guts.
