Hrm...placement = work experience for uni studies. I'm already part way through it so I wouldn't say excited at this stage...but it's something that I need to do, and I've been given tasks to do so it's work that I can work towards.

Iro 09-02-2013 01:33 PM

I see, I see. If the experience is beneficial towards your future goals, then I still wish you good luck!

They don't exactly have placements for the course I recently graduated from. It's a rather tough market as it is. I hope to be able to land a job with mentorship training if possible, though. =w=

Antagonist 09-02-2013 02:31 PM

I haven't been through a placement before, is it like some kind of internship? [:O]

Cora 09-02-2013 03:24 PM

I did placement. More then one actually. Its required for a teaching degree.

I spent 20 weeks in a 3rd grade classroom, 10 weeks in a 5th grade classroom, and 40 weeks in a contained classroom.

Antagonist 09-02-2013 03:35 PM

Ooh. Yeah, some of my friends went through that too to become teachers. I didn't take the classes so I didn't get placement. [:O]

Cora 09-02-2013 03:46 PM

It was fun. Especially the Containment classroom. I learned A LOT in those forty weeks.

Antagonist 09-02-2013 03:57 PM

What're containment classrooms like? [:O]

Cora 09-02-2013 04:35 PM

Basically its the worse of the worse as far as special needs students are concerned. We had this one kid that used to thrown temper tantrums that ended in biting.

Ikuto Akihiko Hasegawa 09-02-2013 04:47 PM

Wow, sounds tough! [:O] Glad you were able to make it through and learn through the training.

Cora 09-02-2013 04:49 PM

You learn to love them though. Tough as it was.

Antagonist 09-03-2013 12:11 AM

Wow, that is pretty tough. o ___o;; I probably wouldn't make it since I'm not that great with the more difficult kids. >_< Kudos to you for making it through!

RoadToGallifrey 09-03-2013 03:06 AM

*wanders in*

Antagonist 09-03-2013 03:09 AM

Hey Bucket Tea! :D

RoadToGallifrey 09-03-2013 03:11 AM

How're you doing? c:

Antagonist 09-03-2013 03:23 AM

Doing okay I guess~ Trying to combust my work with my mind. [XD]

You? [:)]

It takes a patience that most people don't have, don't feel bad.

Antagonist 09-03-2013 03:26 AM

I hope I will one day have the patience to have a kid. I'd be stressed worrying I'd one day snap if the kid does too many stupid things...even though I myself did a bunch of stupid things as a kid. [gonk]

Cora 09-03-2013 03:28 AM

You'd be surprised. You may not think you'll have the patience. But when the child is your own, it gives you patience with them.

Antagonist 09-03-2013 03:34 AM

I sure hope so. [:O]

*continues saving up*

I wish it weren't so difficult for the younger generation around here. It's almost impossible to save up enough to buy a house or even a small apartment condo with the salaries most people around my age are making. Even if by some miracle we save up enough for a mortgage we'd be paying for it until we're in our seventies or something to clear it. It's no wonder our birth rates are so low when people are barely taking care of themselves. I think we 'won' first place for having the lowest birth rate in the world one year.

RoadToGallifrey 09-03-2013 10:21 AM

Did your work combustion happen? :)

Not much I went to bed not long after I posted that since it was 4am haha

Antagonist 09-03-2013 10:41 AM

I wish! But sadly, no, it didn't. [lol]

4am!? That was me two days ago because I was distracted playing a game. [rofl]

RoadToGallifrey 09-03-2013 10:46 AM

I've accidentally broke my sleeping pattern and I need to try and fix it for next week when I move for uni. I was doing so well (okay like three days) and then I accidentally took a 6 hour nap and woke up at 1am haha

Antagonist 09-03-2013 01:32 PM

lol Same, though it's more 'staying up too late than I'm supposed to' that's destroyed my sleeping pattern for me. [XD]

dessertdesiert 09-03-2013 01:34 PM

Anty, loves staying up so he can talk to us xD.

Antagonist 09-03-2013 02:29 PM

Yeah...and being distracted by games that I couldn't play while at work. [XD];;;
