Oh, has Mene been growing quiet? That would be sad.

hummy 11-23-2013 11:48 PM

only use red balloon girls to level 10

scholar 11-23-2013 11:50 PM

Oh, right, that was the trick. I have a how-to thread somewhere buried here, I think.

tillisnut 11-23-2013 11:59 PM

This thread is pretty active now. I'm doing pretty well myself.

scholar 11-24-2013 12:02 AM

Hi, tillisnut. I don't believe we've met before. I'm scholar, I tend to come and go randomly with no warning.

It's nice to meet you. You may call me Tillis for short if you want as well. I just started here on Menewsha this month. I just post if I think I can add more to the thread most of the time. It is rather cold outside to me, but it is nice inside with the heater on.

scholar 11-24-2013 12:58 AM

I love cold weather, too, especially when outside in it but bundled up nice and warm. My favorite thing is to go walking in the snow!

I am not a big fan of snow, but mostly because I'm just not used to it. If it wasn't so windy I would like it better outside. We may get a few flakes around tomorrow, but nothing major yet. It is pretty early for big snows here since it's only November.

scholar 11-24-2013 01:10 AM

Where are you, Tillis? I'm currently on the US East Coast, though I'm going home to Northern California tomorrow.

hummy 11-24-2013 01:11 AM

don't forget to buy one after killing the first blue haired meanie

scholar 11-24-2013 01:13 AM

LOL, hummy, it took me a moment to figure out what you were talking about. I gave up on AotFG and went to Harbor Fishing. I suck at that, too, but at least it's quick!

tigerangel 11-24-2013 01:14 AM

There is still snow on the ground here, but at least the streets are clear.

hummy 11-24-2013 01:15 AM

i suck at it, tpp
until i only need like 3 goldies
then i catch every darn thing in the pond

I am from Texas and now I live in south central Kansas. It's currently 27ºF with a north wind. Wind chill 16. It's pretty cold in most of the central part of the US now.

scholar 11-24-2013 01:20 AM

Weather report says it's 35º right now, going down to 23º overnight. 10% chance of snow. I wish it would snow. I don't think where I live is going to have much snow; we're in the foothills but not very high, maybe 1500 feet. :(

Hi, tigerangel!

tigerangel 11-24-2013 01:33 AM

Hi scholar, how are you doing?

It's 30 degrees here in Colorado, right now.
High tomorrow should be around 39 degrees.

scholar 11-24-2013 01:35 AM

Colorado always looks so beautiful when I fly over it. (Somehow, I've wound up flying an awful lot in the last few years.) Is it that beautiful on the ground?

But I just love cold weather. I was stuck in Los Angeles for four years for grad school, and I hated the hot weather. Everyone said it was so lovely, so nice to be sunny all the time, but all I could see was glare and all I could smell was my own sweat mixed with car exhaust and too much perfume.

tigerangel 11-24-2013 01:42 AM

Colorado really is beautiful.
I was born and raised in California, and anyone who said that about Los Angeles was like that, must have never
spent time there, lol.

What part of Northern California are you going to?

scholar 11-24-2013 01:47 AM

I live in the Sierra Nevada foothills, kind of north of Yosemite in gold rush territory.

tigerangel 11-24-2013 01:52 AM

Oh nice. I was born in San Jose, which isn't that far north.
That is beautiful country up there.

scholar 11-24-2013 02:16 AM

I grew up in Silicon Valley, too. I'm happy I moved further north.

tigerangel 11-24-2013 02:23 AM

The last time I was in CA, it seems that every city has become huge. No more open spaces at all.
I'm glad that we still have open space here.
