Well, if you really want to attract bugs, I hear the best way is to wear a sexy bee or cricket costume, and make buzzing or chirping noises everywhere you go...

The version I remember from my dysfunctional childhood had the man's daughter biting his dolly's head off under the covers for committing a similar offense, but it's pretty much the same joke, I think... Just a tad more Freudian...
