Don't think a cup of tea goes with this pose lol

Antagonist 12-05-2018 02:38 AM

lol I mean like just holding something, doesn't have to be tea, tea was just the first thing that came to my mind xDDD;;

MoodyBats 12-05-2018 02:40 AM

Idk. just depends on what theme i want to go for
or what sort of vibe i am going for.

Antagonist 12-05-2018 02:41 AM

I guess :o You'll figure it out! :)

MoodyBats 12-05-2018 02:42 AM

Yep. just have to do trial and error with it.

Antagonist 12-05-2018 02:44 AM

Yeah, lots of erasing, re-sketching, and erasing and re-sketching over and over. [lol]

Moonlit Freedom 12-05-2018 08:11 PM

Sorry that I disappeared again. [sweat]

Anta: I'm loving your colorful pastel avatar!! [glomp]

life as an artist [lol]

Antagonist 12-06-2018 12:19 AM

@Moony: Thank you!! I'm super happy with how it came out too [hug] I don't usually do a lot of colorful avatars, I'm mostly a black-colored person. [lol]

@Bats: Indeed [gonk] I could never get the lines to come out right even though I have the vision clearly in my head. [headdesk]

MoodyBats 12-06-2018 01:38 AM

My trouble is 1. i lack the skill for drawing good arms/hands.
and 2. the image in my head is beyond the skill level i currently have [gonk]

Antagonist 12-06-2018 01:41 AM

Yeah, that's mainly my problem when it comes to drawing as well. [gonk]

MoodyBats 12-06-2018 01:53 AM

Yeah, and then sometimes i have no clue
where to go with a certain piece.
art is tough.

Antagonist 12-06-2018 01:57 AM

It is, not to mention then you have to add all the little details and shading and etc...and backgrounds...[gonk]

MoodyBats 12-06-2018 02:19 AM

Sometimes, those things depends on what style you are going for.

I actually have fun drawing backgrounds but it does depend on the type of background.
i don't think i want to do city backgrounds since you have to keep in mind perspective, fort shortening, etc. [squee]
too much for me to keep in mind. so i do simple outdoor backgrounds.

It totally does work!! ^_^ I usually stick with pastels, or greens. So this one is out of my usual realm as well.
So I totally get not knowing if something will work or not.

Antagonist 12-06-2018 02:35 AM

@Bats: Same! All those blocks and shapes kill me. Outdoors scenery is slightly easier but not by much, especially if there are things like rocks and pebbles everywhere which I have a hard time drawing. [headdesk]

@Moony: I've been challenging myself by using an item I don't often use, and then determinedly basing my entire outfit around the item used. [lol] In this case it was the blue and pink coat, and I based all the other colors around those original two. [eager]

MoodyBats 12-06-2018 02:42 AM

Yeah true.
I think my main focus are value, color theory, and anatomy.
Later I shall focus on the other stuff like detailed backgrounds XD

once I conquer hands and arms, I will become unstoppable.

Antagonist 12-06-2018 02:44 AM

I need to conquer hands and feet, and different angles. [gonk] Then it'll probably be on to things like altered anatomy for all my monster-drawing needs. [lol]

MoodyBats 12-06-2018 02:54 AM

Hands, arms and coloring are always holding me back [squee]
I gotta work on them a lot

Antagonist 12-06-2018 03:01 AM

Same, though it's hands, legs, feet, and coloring/shading for me. [lol]

Gotta work on faces too, I only know how to draw a few expressions...

Moonlit Freedom 12-06-2018 03:16 AM

Oh that's a fun way to do it!! [squee] I like that idea! :D

Antagonist 12-06-2018 03:22 AM

It is pretty fun, even if I want to headdesk so many times during the creation because I keep struggling with getting the items to work together. [lol]

But the end results are pretty cool so I'm happy with this method, even if they don't turn out the way I had imagined them to. [boogie]

My eyes could use a lot of work.
and lips. and noses...so the whole face basically lmao.

Antagonist 12-06-2018 03:53 AM

Me too, I suck at noses and even the general shape of the face xDDD;;

MoodyBats 12-06-2018 03:56 AM

faces are hard. I feel i am getting better at noses.
I want to draw more semi-realistic faces.
