I just finished listening to the latest Welcome to Night Vale, any podcasts you follow?

No... I've never really been one for podcasts. I've heard a lot about this Welcome to Nightvale podcasts, what's it about?
I tend to be more of a webisodes person. Monster High, EVer After High, Bravest Warriors.... That sort of thing

It's hard to explain. It's like a community radio show but set in a fictional town called Night Vale that's like a modern day Lovecraft story.

I like to have podcasts or streams on the background when I'm doing other stuff. Reminds me there's another interview I need to remember to listen to.

Aah, I tend to zone out if there's just noise unless it's music, i tend to stop listening to things unless it grabs my attention, so I miss most of what's happening.
I've never been into Lovecraft much, I've not really read it, but then again, i've never had a reason to look into Lovecraft much

It's the same kind of gothic horror/eerie feel. I'm a big fan of Lovecraft but it's still accessible if you're not as interested.

I've been looking at trains again and it's prohibitively expensive for me to get to Birmingham for noon because I'd have to be leaving Newcastle during peak time.

Oh lord, will it take you that long to get from newcastle to birmingham?
I'm probably taking for granted the fact that my train is only an hour's trip from Oxford...

Whatever's easiest for you Kat, I'm aiming for Noon, but I'm not sure when Regestration moves to the Ops room, so...
I dunno if you'll want to go to the opening ceremony or anything, It's normally quite popular, but i've never been to one myself
Whenever you get in, if you send me a text, or give me a ring, i'm sure Tim and I can come find you and give you a hand with your stuff from the train station, in cosplay and all

Thanks! It's 3-4 hours for me, I'm guessing the train must stop every five minutes. The first train I can get out of peak time gets in around 1pm so it's not too bad.

I'm just flapping about a bit during this event, i don't feel like I have a thread to hang out in like I normally do in other events

Aimee and Li Mei's thread is the event hangout but people seem to have taken to Mr Mayor's thread more.

Yeah, not many people are chatting and hanging out in Li-mei and Aimee's thread, probably because there's a game going on there too...
I've been lurking Mr Mayor's thread for most of the event, well, since the proposal.
I had a nice chat with some folk the night of the proposal, but since Vicky and Lucy dispersed, the rest of the people have gone with them, mostly hanging out in their respective user-run threads

I need to try and get online during the day more when I'm capable of maintaining any standard of conversation.
