Well. I guess it's all how we think about our own work and art.

Bah. Is this real or not?

This is really just an argument of terminology though. I just don't think the word crafty has that meaning.

It's not. But it's the kinda shenanigans we'd come up with to be stupid and silly. :D

Yeah. Very true. It's definitely a word/concept that has flex to it. Like, where is the art line start and stop and the crafter one take over? Etc. To me it's all pretty interchangeable since a quilt can be a masterpiece of time and effort that makes a statement, but then it can also be purely functional and that's it. I will use a lot of my painted art along side my crafting. Mixed media pieces can be functional, etc. But it's up to the creator to put a name to what they do. :D

Then some art critic comes in and bashes my mashed potato and silk screening exhibit calling it, 'left overs' and I cry for hours and hours!

It really does sound like you.

Sure the lines are always blurry but the decisive factor is intent. It can't be art if the artist didn't intend for it to be and the viewer didn't look at it as such. In that way, the same elegant chair can be art or not depending on the goal behind its creation and how it is displayed

yea it's exactly what we do every time we're together. she keeps the pillow in a special place and even if we go out to places she carries it in her bag.

that sounds lovely. i love to swing. that's a fun part about working with kids is that i can still do some of that stuff.

That really is nice. Swinging is my favorite activity to do at a park.
