It feels colder because it's wind rushing through the window and you aught to know I hate the cold.

I think it's 8 degrees or so here today. I get to go to the ski mountain nearby to get the kid.

It's 50 here in Austin.
I even went for a walk.

I'm thinking of going out too after I get home and eat lunch.

No, I've never done any downhill skiing. I've cross country skied though. Not the same thing at all, I'm sure.

I want to go for a walk so bad!! But everything's snow and slush here.Or ice. I'll just go roll in the snow.

Hah. Awww. And I was thinking it felt a lot nicer today, even though it was still in the single digits...but the sun was out and it wasn't windy. So, I think my weather standards have fallen.

My brother tried it. Epic fail and just....I can't see myself trying. It looks so awful.

Seriously. Though, clear skies means super cold night. But, plus side, the stars look awesome

That sucks. We've got a pretty nice, clear night sky here. I was pointing out Venus and Mars to the kiddo yesterday evening cause they're really bright in the western sky.

Venus is Sometimes one of the only things we can see besides the moon. Cloud cover doesn't help.

Hah. Nope. Clouds don't help. And yeah, Venus is really bright. It's dogged right now by Mars, so look above it and to the left of it slightly and you'll see it.

Usually when there's a full moon, we see it framed perfectly in the window over our entry hall.

I'd prefer not to go out to look. But I do like looking at the moon.

It's nice to do every now and then since it's so rare and special.

I've got a handy dandy star chat and star maps that I take out on occasion....I just miss having my brother near by with his awesome telescope
