Well...it's not normally in your home!

Linnea 02-21-2015 11:22 PM

ah so you mean in residence, gotcha. well, i don't think it's that weird. people get ellipticals and tread mills and stuff. really, what's a giant bag full of dirt designed to punch and kick? takes up less space than the aforementioned items

Kat Dakuu 02-21-2015 11:24 PM

True, but I wouldn't have any of them in my home. I'm not sporty enough. Would it be expensive to get?

Linnea 02-22-2015 12:23 AM

i don't have the slightest. i imagine it might be a decent chunk of change. i figure we'll go halfsies on it... that is, should i choose to live with her.

and on that note, i am sort of in a bit of a bind. my roommate has mentioned moving out in a tone that is more like she'd be moving with me. i have mentioned recently that i do not want to stay where i am not, but that was it. it seems pretty obvious that she thinks she is coming with me and i haven't told her otherwise since i don't have a clear cut plan yet. i intend to tell her with enough time to find another roommate should she want one. it just doesn't sit well with me that she is of this mindset. it might seem a bit deceitful but that is not my intention. what do you think?

Kat Dakuu 02-22-2015 12:36 AM

I mean, if you really think she thinks that, it's best to clear it up as quick as possible. Better not let them get too set into wanting to stay with you. I didn't think you were getting along with your current roommate.

Linnea 02-22-2015 12:43 AM

well the thing is, we've never really been friends but that made it ok because then we didn't get too close and made it so we don't fight really. we've never really had an argument and it's easy to be honest because we aren't invested in each others feelings. that sounds cold i reckon, but it served it's purpose for over two years now.
anyways, there are things that i don't like, like some of her more unsanitary/gross habits and some of her friends, and even though i've told her how i feel about certain things and hoped to find a sort of compromise, it would seem that she lacks respect for me and does all these things anyways and more so. i suspect she does it more so on purpose to irritate me passive aggressively. a bit of a pussy way to fight, really. that's why i just use straight up confrontation because not only does it solve the problem quicker but it makes her uncomfortable; she shies away from confrontation

Kat Dakuu 02-22-2015 12:53 AM

No, that makes sense. It's not really cold.
It really sounds like the two of you should split ways though.

Linnea 02-22-2015 01:05 AM

yea i think it's time. i hardly stay in one place for so long anyways. i think i need someone more compatible and someone who respects me and i think saying it that way doesn't so much place the blame. i'm debating on whether i want to sort of maybe let her know the things that makes me uncomfortable and not want to live with her anymore and see if maybe she will change. i don't want to risk because she could say she would, then doesn't, and my opportunity to leave has already gone and i'm stuck again. sooo maybe i'll be honest, but have tact and hope for the best.
hey thanks, kat [yes] for letting me hash it out with someone (aka you). it's nice to get an unbiased opinion/advice

Kat Dakuu 02-22-2015 03:47 AM

honest and tact is good.

haha, maybe I can come live with you. XD

Linnea 02-22-2015 04:34 AM

if you can pay half of the bills we could have a deal [lol]

Kat Dakuu 02-22-2015 04:34 AM

I got paid today! Does that count?

Linnea 02-22-2015 04:44 AM

if it's enough to pay the rent, electricity (and it's high because we have electric heat), and cable!

Kat Dakuu 02-22-2015 05:06 AM

I don't know how much I got paid. Yeah...I need to activate the card still and look at it.

Good afternoon all! This thread is kind of dead; anyone around? Also; I GOT ADMINS PICK FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER ADKJSWGFKWJHF IM SO HAPPY

Kat Dakuu 02-24-2015 06:13 AM

that's great!

It's dead because for those of us on the other side of the world, it's way past bed time.

zeapear 02-24-2015 06:16 AM

Well, I was moreso meaning in that no one has posted in over a day. [lol]
Anyway, how are things over your end?

Kat Dakuu 02-24-2015 06:19 AM

That's normal.
Alright. Work wasn't bad today. I only messed up a little and not while dealing with customers.

zeapear 02-24-2015 06:22 AM

If you don't mind me asking, where do you work? And that's good, I guess. [lol] How long've you had the job? You still learning the ropes?

Kat Dakuu 02-24-2015 06:23 AM

Starbucks. I've almost been working a month now and I'm still clueless half the time. It's my first job.

zeapear 02-24-2015 06:25 AM

Ah, coolio. [:)] That sounds pretty normal; from memory doesn't Starbucks have like, billions of different complex orders and stuff? And sounds complicated, but it sounds like you're doing well. ^^ And congratulations on your first job! I still haven't gotten anything (or even done work experience), but that may change during my gap year next year.

Kat Dakuu 02-24-2015 06:28 AM

Yes, there's quite a bit to learn even without trying to make the drinks. I never went to Starbucks but a few times before working there.
You're too young to work!

zeapear 02-24-2015 06:32 AM

Yeah, I wouldn't even know where to start at Starbucks. [lol] Good luck, though!
And yeah, I guess so. [roll] I'm going to be 17 soon, though, and I just feel kinda guilty about not earning anything. [lol] Mum's fine with me focusing on study though.

Kat Dakuu 02-24-2015 06:35 AM

thanks.
I'm 23 and didn't work before that. Unless you really need to, I think it's totally fine to not work until you're out of school. Put off the hell for as long as you can.

zeapear 02-24-2015 06:38 AM

Mm, to be honest I think I'm gonna do just that. My brother was kinda similar to you; he didn't get his first (non tutoring) job until he was, like, 25, 26 maybe? Mostly because he was focusing on study and now he's at his first job, which took him over to the states to work for Microsoft. [lol]
Sadly, I doubt that I'll achieve that pinnacle of greatness, but sometimes there are things more important than working I guess.

Kat Dakuu 02-24-2015 06:41 AM

You're whole life will be working after school. No need to start early. My parents would kill me if I didn't get a job soon. It'd been a year since I was out of school already. I'm always jealous of people with the sort of education and interest to get into fields like that. I somewhat doomed myself with my art degree I don't want to do anything with.

And I think I'm gonna stop being too lazy to go to bed. Bye!
