And then when you're working the drive thru, there are the customers that can make your day just awful. ^_^

I'm no good at socializing with the customers though. I really can't do it.

I don't initiate conversation well. I don't always respond to it well either. Small talk is NOT my forte.

I'm usually ok with it. It was easy working with things that need instruction, etc....when I was working at the fabric shop.

You're making them coffees and stuff. People are usually in and out in that kinda environment.

Sometimes not in and out fast enough. Since it's busy it gets bogged down in the drive thru and people do chat at the front. I know some of the customers now and I talk with them, but it's easier there. Everyone is convinced my name is Katie though.

Sorta clearly. XD I need to rewrite it. It says Kat and it has a smiley face after it. It got smudgy though.

I have friends that get mad when someone mistakes the Kate/Katie thing...and others that couldn't care less. And here I am with a name that's pretty easy to get wrong if you're not familiar with it....so I'm used to that. Though, people have been WAY better with it in my adult life. Childhood and sitting in class waiting for a new teacher to try and pronounce it was always fun.

My parents call me Kate, but I do dislike Katie. I won't get offended if someone calls me that though, unless it's my dad. That's just trying to make me sound cute. No way. I'm Kat. My family won't call me that though.

My family doesn't really give me nicknames....but I have a few that come up. Generally it's just my name. BUT I had one boss that called me Shay....and for some reason. I really dislike that. Shayshay is fine...cause it's cute. But Shay? Hmmmmmmm.

Why not shay? Sounds pretty to me.
But it's my full name that is literally never used with me.

I like totally think Shay is a pretty name.
