yeah there's that too. especially considering texas has the lowest cost of living. so trying to leave is near impossible.

Really? Lowest cost of living? Where in Texas is that? Pfft. NC is pretty cheap and TN is the cheapest according to the Army. So there's that, not that TN is an improvement on TX.

well it's lower than the places i want to move at least. and also i do prefer the weather here over other places.

it's ridiculous. like texas is backwards as hell sometimes. and i love some things about it. i really do. but other times i'm like really. why do i live in a state that fundamentally doesn't accept a couple parts of who i am?

I've been raised around prudes and know-nothing authoritarians my whole life, so well... I've felt alot of repression in my life. Up to and including my love of gaming, and even quirks about myself that to this day, I walk on eggshells about.

i've decided if i can't be open in other aspects. i'll be unapologetic in others. and so my obsession and love for things like harry potter i am. they can just deal. it's been over ten years since i got into the fandom life. it's not going away

Wingsy, I feel bad for you. If you ever want to move to Florida, the weather is similar-ish if not a little warmer and more humid, there is a place for you. I'd house anyone who needed or wanted a place to go to get away.

i have contemplated moving to florida before actually. one of my friends moved their briefly a few years ago and was much happier there.

Florida is a happy place and I live JUST outside Orlando, three miles away to be exact. It's really nice. I love it a lot. The only thing that I would change at all is if it was a little closer to the ocean but of global warming continues it will be so what can I really complain about? lol

I've always heard that Florida is an insane place and is America's insane asylum. Pretty much Arkham if America itself were Gotham City.

I love everything about Florida. I've been here almost a year now and it's great :D I have yet to see any insane people that you speak of, but then again, considering where I live, that might be the reason. unless, if you count how they drive, then they are ALL INSANE. They drive like maniacs. Do they not know what a blinker or a speed limit or a stop sign is? Every day my road rage steadily increases >.>

hahaha lovely. i can't imagine that's driving is fun. but then i live in houston. so it's not like i'm any stranger to crazy drivers.
