Well, it's still not ideal. I work at 10am on sunday so I have to leave at seven to get there. I had to give away basically all my hours because no one would trade shifts with me.

even though you had to give them away at least you have it off, unless that is, that you'd rather be working than doing this get together lol

Lol, not really. But I do end with about 12 hours of work this week because of it. I guess I don't really care, but my parents harp on me about my hours constantly.

No. I only pay for my gas. They want me to get my own place though. Not like a 'get out of the house!' kind of thing, but a 'don't you want to save up for your own place?' sort of thing. Mostly they seem to think I'm not doing much since I don't work full time. Or that's what it seems.

ah well that's good though, i mean, i loved moving out of my parents. i can't knock it too hard because i didn't have a place to go for a while there and my dad took me in for almost a year >.> this was only like 3 years ago sooooo you're never too old lol

I know it's expensive to get an apartment here and I have no friend to live with. If I have to work hard enough to pay for a place by myself, I definitely can't write.

would you ever use a roommate finder sort of service or something? i mean, i don't room with my friends because we'd hate each other from overexposure lol

I'd prefer to room with friends but might use something like that. I've never had much luck with roommates.

i think the best route is always someone who has the same values at home (like when to clean, who does what household tasks, somewhat same interests, and mostly just consideration). that's why i had to leave my last roommate, she wasn't a super close friend but i worked with her for a bit. she and i were very different people and ultimately she got more and more inconsiderate and that made it impossible to live with her. she would come back drunk at all hours with her douchey friends who would fornicate on the living room floor and make it hella awkward to even walk to the bathroom. she'd also get in weird drunken rages and destroy things. it was super shitty. so glad i don't like like that anymore!

I heard about your roommate situation. But I think if you're really good friends with someone and already know all their boundaries and such, it helps a lot. If you're so naturally at ease with each other, shouldn't that make everything so much better?

I think there's a different between saying acquaintance and friend though. When I said it's good to room with a friend, I mean a true, important friend. Doesn't go as far with just a so so friend. Of course that situation could go sour and ruin the friendship.

ah well, i apologize if it got a bit much. i'm sure it's not completely off base to rant about things that bother us ya know buuuut the wonderful thing is that i am free of that and won't be ranting at all about the roommate situation!
