Good good. I went and saw Ant Man and had nom noms with a friend who came down to visit. Today is lego building and blueberry picking. Awww yeah. How's your weekend?
Isn't it a good movie? That sounds like uber fun.
My weekend was alright. I finished the stuff I needed to get done and my older bro was in town for a little while though I barely saw him because of work.
You saw it too? Yeah, I wasn't in a rush to see it (first modern Marvel movie I could say taht about) which I am kicking myself over now cause it was a good'un. I love his old cell mate.
That's too bad that you missed out on seeing your brother. He isn't in town often?
He's around sometimes. He's a teacher so he pops in during the summer. I don't mind a lot, but it's funny that we kept missing each other. I think he more came into town to go see my cousin.
You and me both. I had only one good math teacher in high school....and a good one at my last college....aside from that I feel like none of the rest cared to teach it to us. I did the minimum requirement for my level diploma in high school math.
I sick at math. They were teaching the New math when I was in high school. It was stupid then&still is. Of course I do well w the 4 basics of arithmetic.
What I don't understand is teaching high school period. What's to love about that? Though I dislike math as well. I had a decent time with algebra though. I was always doodling in these classes.
I wouldn't mind teaching HS if it was english/science/or history.......probably leaning toward history/english.
I can understand how people like math cause I can do it (when forced) in the context of scientific reasons....I just...yeah. Give me any other subject and I like it more. ;)
Chesh, do you know that song about new math by Tom Lehrer?
It's just what they called this way of teaching math to younger kids back in the 60s and 70s. It wasn't popular with parents, etc....so it petered out as a teaching style.
oh i didn't tell you, kat? my cousin literally had her baby at a family reunion. in the front seat of the car in my uncle's driveway. my mom delivered him!
