Operate conditioning is basically doing something to enforce a behavior. So like positive reinforcement or negative. Kid uses the potty and doesn't soil his diaper. Give kid a treat. Kid associates treat with the potty. So he uses it, knowing he gets something positive in return. That sorta thing.
Ah that was just sonnet number.....I'm gonna say 17? And yaaaah. Woody likes Shakespeare. I was just watching the most up to date version of The Tempest.

it made me all nostalgic, recalling this big term paper I wrote with Ariel from that play and Puck from Midsummer Night's Dream.

nah that is pretty much the long and short of it. there are other variables involved which is what the paper was about, but yes. operant think of it like operator. the operator is conditioning the subject to have better behaviors using reinforcements. with rats it was food and with humans it was points and praise

Thank you. I am happy you like it.
To be honest I am not sure what kind.
Like I want to write, but there is nothing in my head to write out on paper.
I just don't post.
I subscribe to threads but hardly post.

I got off work and am eating dinner now.
Man, this cat though, he really wants to go out in the rain every time. I bet he just thinks it will be interesting, but will run right back inside if I let him out.

I have a million ideas for stories...I'm just so bad at getting to write them down. I sometimes write little snip bits so I can go back to what I have and work up and actual story. I wish I was like my mum in that she is so discipline with writing. I guess that's why she's sitting on like 9/10 books fully written.
Hah. Make up your mind kitty! Mine is the same way. He's convinced he wants out and then changed his mind in an instant. Snow is the best reaction of course. *paws the ground gently....finds it cold.......slowly inches backwards*

It's pretty hard to having that writing disciple. I always have a million ideas too and there's only so much time. I wish I could be more on top of it, but I think that might suck some of the fun out of it if I really pushed myself to get as much done as I know I can. Just a little pushing is good and random spurts of hard core deadlines is good.
I haven't let him out yet on the off chance he does just take off. I don't wanna go chase him...

Ahhhh. I mean, being sporatic works for some people. But I suppose if it's really something you love and you want to make some sort of career out of it. You've got to push yourself and/or make a structure to follow. Allotted time just for writing or just for editing...etc. I have my mom who is insanely good at sitting down to write daily. And I meant daily. Even if she doesn't get as much done some days, she will still have like, a little note pad with her.
Then I have a friend who is so good at getting herself out there and all over the place. So she'll get recognized within her genre circle, etc. She's fantastic at deadlines. She's got a book coming out this fall/winter that her editor JUST gave her back to do hardcore edits on...and it's due in a month. Like the final copy. That's it. So she's nose to the grindstone atm. Serious respect for that. And I'm excited cause her other published works were self published and this is the first to be picked up by a publishing house.
My mom has had things almost get picked up, but then ....like she'd have to change things that she felt shouldn't be changed because they had nothing to do with the actual book. The publishing house was owned by very religious people and some of her characters weren't straight. She thought changing that just to get her book published would be ridiculous so she said, "adios!"

I use to be that way, but now I am lucky to even squeeze out a sentence out. My inspiration is kind of here and there. Sometimes I have it, and sometimes I don't. I normally don't have it when I really want it.

It's hard getting in a creative mood when it's just not happening. If I do art when I'm not in the mood, might as well be finger painting from a child. XD
