Don't look at the sun without eclipse glasses is all I can say. If you go outside, make a pinprick hole in a piece of paper and watch the crescent shaped shadow on the ground instead.

Mostly because it was so cloudy (we had a random raincloud interloper show up last-minute ), but also because I'm sadomasochistic.

But what were you even able to see without the glasses? I took a glance 1 minute before total eclipse and still couldn't see anything with the naked eye and the sun was barely a sliver.

I just saw the moon passing over. It was anticlimactic, to be honest. Would've made more of a difference if it hadn't been so goddamn cloudy already.

Well since there were no clouds, it was just a bright ball of light. Even when it was 83% covered it was a ball of light, so not amazing or worth possible blindness.

Yeah but the way it got so cool and dark outside was just amazing. I could see Jupiter during the blackout. I'll share pictures later.

Yeah, it didn't get that dark here.

As for the Ei, I don't have the specific one you mentioned but I do have quite a few other ei's. I think the macabe masks is from that masquerade event as well? I've got that.

I'm gonna go to Minnesota for a solo vacation in October, but I really need to nab one of those Southwest Airlines deals to Austin or somethin'. I don't think a city boy like me could thrive outside of Austin/DFW though.

I haven't traveled much. But I'm totes gonna try to have a solo trip once a year so long as I can get cheap airfare and dedicate a week to stuff I like (mostly meandering the city streets like a lady of the night, and people-watching by way of cafes and parks in non-inclement weather ).

I haven't ever traveled just by myself though me and wingsy drove to Dallas for a concert.

We do go camping, and we went to Chicago, but not to explore, so it was disappointing as fuck.

We just don't have the money/time and what not to do much, since we moved and all that jazz. Hopefully next year, I wanna go somewhere and do something.

She's almost 5 now, so you know. I'm pretty much ancient. I was young but not that young when I had her. Still tho, I realize people are having kids late as fuck now, 'cause I take her to a playgroup and my kid is like one of the oldest, yet I'm the youngest there.
