I'm just getting over two days of being sick/feverish, so I'm finally dragging my feet into this event.

I'm glad that you're feeling better. I'm starting to feel pretty terrible myself.

Oh no, Kat! [cry] I hate hate HATE being sick... I'm rarely sick, too, so this is especially annoying this time of year. [sweat]

I had a fever and some mild nausea... All told, I only spent two days under the weather, so I can't complain all too much!

What're your symptoms, Kat? Hopefully it's nothing too bad. [no]

I don't know if I'm sick or just super miserable. I cried some earlier when driving home from work. I'm not sure if the burning behind my eyes is because of that or congestion. I never get sick either, but today was really hard. I didn't even get a proper lunch break.

Nausea is terrible though. I'm glad you're over that. You can't do anything when you feel like that.

Yeah, what sucked too was that I just had stomach cramps most of yesterday and didn't eat at all... then felt better in the evening and ate pretty well, only to hurl it back up four hours later. [gonk] Blah! I hate that. Ugh.

And that sucks, Kat. Especially a lack of a real lunch break!!! I'm sorry today was so rough. [heart] Was it anything specific, or just the holiday craziness? People suck this time of year... that whole "holiday cheer" thing is a lie when it comes to 98% of strangers. [cry]

Poor Facadey~ *hug* I never get sick like that so I can barely imagine. Was it the flu?

We had some rage quit the other day so I was already pre-asked to stay two hours late today to cover for her shift. Ended up clocking in early too and then two other's called in sick today and then yeah, holiday craziness. Most fast food places see a huge drop in business around holidays. Except Starbucks that is. -.-

Yesss, I made a full recovery in time for Christmas. [:D] And it was a good day spent catching up with family!

Kat, I'm so sorry and hope you got some much-needed time to rest and relax with family today! [heart] I was thinking about you, because this morning the line was obscenely long (snaking down the street, probably about 30 cars!) of the brand new drive-thru Starbucks that was built right across from where my childhood home is. D:

It was ridiculous. I also silently asked myself, "Who needs coffee so bad that they need to go to a drive-thru!? ON CHRISTMAS? AND JUSTIFY WAITING IN THAT LINE!?" ... Clearly my internal dialogue is mostly all-caps, so it makes for pretty screamy reading material... [ninja]

Anyway. That crap is nuts. Because, as that meme that's everywhere on the internet says, most of those people seem to be the suburban moms with the just-right haircuts wearing smug faces that obviously say, "I want to talk to the manager." [lol] And those are the worst kinds of customers!

I'm regrettably *that person* who will sit on my phone on the toilet and then suddenly 10-15 minutes go by, my legs go asleep... it's pretty disastrous...

But, phone addiction and/or phone hygiene aside, I love my bathroom time. [drool] Porcelain throne AND shower. And all that jazz. [cool]

I'm 6'2" tall and I think how toilets are designed isn't for people like me who are 95% leg. [:P] They take up so much of my body, and bending at that angle when I'm checking my phone and getting lost in the interwebs (and likely not even going number two in the process, sometimes a guy just likes to sit!)... it's a problem in the making.
