Never heard of bojangles.
I like McCallister's sweet tea. Other places have it too sweet, like Chick-fil-a.

Y'all do know I actually work for Chick-fil-A right? And like the CEO's views are one thing and completely separate from the company itself.
And Chick-fil-A is the only retail/fast food industry place I've worked and felt like I'm being treated like a human being. And I say this as someone who is pansexual.
Like, there's some stuff and a lot of eye rolling at the religious people who flock to it cuz of the reputation. But it's just like any other company. What the CEO says and does is the CEO's business and everyone else is still just people working for a company.

Like it's not a perfect company. But no company is. Not even ones that get held up as heralds of the modern movement. Companies are still companies. And they're all kinda shit.

i'm glad to hear you've had a good experience! and you're right, it's not fair to judge individual branches based off things the people running the company have done.

i definitely agree, there's no truly good company. capitalism is shit and corporations are liars.

I have never met a erude chick-fil-a employee.
and I kind of think Religious views are alright.
I mean you/we don't have to like them or agree
with them but I think in America they have the right to them.
I try really hard to not judge people on their Religion beliefs
I mean in my Religion we have the Immaculate conception
anyway, I love chick-fil-A's chicken pieces and would eat them til I burst!

All the stuff that is said about chick-fil-a is not about the company itself. It is only about the CEO who didn't place those views on the company. Media has been misinterpreting and taking that and running with it all by themselves. Everyone else just sells chicken.

I think social media has a lot to do with how things are taken, too.
it's sort of like a game of 'telephone' and it gets skewed to their view

I just can't get behind it is all. I've tried it once or twice out of curiosity really, and I can make better chicken at home with my oven. I know I'm in the super minority for people who dislike it.

It's a taste thing...and a distaste for the CEOs vocal views. It's fair enough to not want to go to a place if I see their charitable givings go towards anti-LGBTQ foundations. Same thing with why I don't go to Hobby Lobby. I love me some craft stores but, I don't shop there. There was the whole court case with how they tried to not let contraceptives to be covered on their health insurance.

Do what you like and I won't judge it though. I don't go but I'm not gonna poo poo it and go off on a rant any time I'm with people who'd wanna go. Sure. Why not? I just prefer not to on my own time.

As far as religion goes, believe what you will. But the moment you start judging others and feeling superior is the moment you lost the whole point of it. Do your thing, let others be happy and do theirs. Help people and do what you can to learn about the world. I'm from a blended religious background in my house so we ended up just following our own paths without any pressure from my parents. Which I love.

You know I don't happen to think one religion is better or worse than the other. I don't think one religion is right over another one. And I most certainly don't think I'm superior to anyone because of my religious beliefs. Who knows when it comes my time I could be in the wrong line. I just think everyone gets to believe what they want even people who I don't really understand why they believe what they believe. I know that the Sisters of the Poor don't want to have to pay for contraceptives but in my religion you're not supposed to use contraceptives. I think it's an outdated thing, I think it was meant to help the world grow by procreation. And I personally think that to each their own use them don't use them whatever I'm not going to judge somebody cuz I'm certainly not walking in your shoes. And I do believe that that's a very important thing that people miss you don't walk in other shoes so you don't know how they feel. And more specifically you don't know what you would do if you were walking in their shoes. You may think you do but I know for a fact firsthand you do not know what you will do.
I need to come to Woody's house for some chicken!

I guess here's my thing Woody. Is from the inside of Chick-fil-A. Yeah I work with a lot of convservative people who don't share the same ideologies as I do. But really every single person in that restaurant really just wants to sell you chicken with good customer service. In that moment, we could care less who you are or what you believe. We just want you to buy chicken.
So yeah the CEOs view sucks (and honestly the views of the owner of my store). But he's more concerned with making money than telling someone they can't buy his food cuz their LGBT. Just like the people who own the Starbucks and Target branches in this area are concerned about too.
And honestly having worked for Target, and seeing how I was treated there, I'd pick CFA any day.
Like it's whatever if you don't like it, but I still hate seeing it called a shit company or whatever cuz it's like. There's bad things, but there's a lot of good too.

I wouldn't think you did, hummy. :) You're an awesome person. The people who are judge-y are certainly in the minority. But same could be said about a lot of people/things. For example, one bad cop makes the others work twice as hard in the community to prove that they are here to protect and serve.

Guuuurl, we will make you some awesome chicken! And anything else you'd like! I'm working on making some gnocchi and other homemade pasta soon....along with char sui pork another day soon.

Also Wings hi! It's been a while since I've seen you're awesomeness.

EDIT: And that's awesome! Hey. I 100% am glad you've got a great working experience there. I've worked for places in the past that are horrible to their employees, and you know, the company and CEO are in good standing. I am not actively boycotting Chick Fil A, persay... I'm just not a fan. I don't think I actively boycott anything. I dislike Wal Mart and what the company does driving out small local businesses, but I still shop there when I have to. They have cheap toilet paper....

And you know me! I am not one to just completely fart on something.
