*shoots off an edible glitter bomb

Woodlandnymph 02-16-2018 05:29 AM

Yaas! Glitter!!!

Kat Dakuu 02-16-2018 05:30 AM

What flavor is the glitter?

Wings of Writing 02-16-2018 05:32 AM

Loving the men's figure skating.

Kirin Rosenbaum 02-16-2018 05:34 AM

sugar flavor

Kat Dakuu 02-16-2018 05:35 AM

sugar flavor is so....vague....

Kirin Rosenbaum 02-16-2018 05:36 AM

It's sweet. There is no flavor to it. It's just sugar.

Woodlandnymph 02-16-2018 05:40 AM

I stopped watching it before it ended on the short program but I think there were like 4 more performances.

Who was it that smashed the wall. Japan's second skater? Oof!

Kirin Rosenbaum 02-16-2018 05:41 AM

Sounds painful.

Wings of Writing 02-16-2018 05:47 AM

um. definitely not Yuzu or Shoma.
Must have been Keiji Tanaka and he was way back in the group.

Kat Dakuu 02-16-2018 06:00 AM

He slid into the wall during the skate we just watched, right?

Woodlandnymph 02-16-2018 06:02 AM

Yes! Keji. And he did. I was just joking with Zach that I was waiting for a wall smash...and he went to bed before it happened.

I would be on my butt the whole time if it was me however. Or clinging to the wall.

Wings of Writing 02-16-2018 06:02 AM

yeah. that was the japanese guy who had the disastrous fall.
but not Shoma or Yuzu.

Kat Dakuu 02-16-2018 06:03 AM

When I was young, I had an easy time skating, but when I went in junior high or so, I couldn't get out to the middle of the ice at all.

Wings of Writing 02-16-2018 06:05 AM

i did figure skating lessons in i want to say middle school and i was terrified the entire time. but i did like 3 courses. enough to get to the point where they had us hopping on the ice. and that's about the point i noped.

Woodlandnymph 02-16-2018 06:05 AM

I'm guessing the men's long program/final is tomorrow? Ihope! I wanna see!

I went once ever, but I was a scaredy to get on the ice . My friend was supposed to teach me in college cause he was on the hockey team and a figure skater, but, our schedules never meshed during the free skates at the rink.

Kat Dakuu 02-16-2018 06:06 AM

That sounds like me and gymnastics. I did it for years until I went to a different gym and they wanted us to jump routines across a long trampoline.

Wings of Writing 02-16-2018 06:10 AM

yes, yes it is woody. and hopefully it'll be as awesome as tonight. the top 4 we're all amazing.

lol. same honestly. tho the thing that got me out of gymnastic was vaulting and bars. I didn't really like not being on the ground. and i couldn't run well enough to do vault cuz i have twisted tibias

Woodlandnymph 02-16-2018 06:15 AM

I always hoped I could take archery as far as the Olympics but dang. it'd be so expensive. Not only would I have needed a complete different bow, I'd need a coach, I'd need to go compete at nationals, etc etc. My parents were not rich. XD

I got Ct state championships, but legit would never beat the american teams let alone the Korean ones. They are archery MACHINES!!! haha. I looove watching it though in the summer Olympics.

Hey, anyone with coordination impresses me. No way I could do gymnastic.s

Kat Dakuu 02-16-2018 06:15 AM

I loved spinning on the bars at YMCA. I liked jumping from the vault. Never did tricks though. We don't do things like that at the YMCA gym. The trampoline was the beginning of them getting you to do tumbles above ground. I couldn't.

Woodlandnymph 02-16-2018 06:18 AM

Heh. I stopped karate cause I hated all the tumbles they made us do. Why? How is that.....helpful with karate?

Wings of Writing 02-16-2018 06:31 AM

yeah Koreans and archery are just intimidating. i saw some of that at the last olympics and it was just crazy

i always liked floor stuff in gymnastics but i never really was much a fan of flying and jumping.
there's a reason i ended up in color guard in high school. my feet stayed firmly planted on the ground, for the most part, and i just got to through blocks of woods over my head.

Kat Dakuu 02-16-2018 04:06 PM

And metal. Don't forget that some of that equipment was metal and hurt like it too.

Woodlandnymph 02-16-2018 06:07 PM

Yeah! Color guard is fun! I painted backdrops for ours. I wanted to join, but it interacted with softball and singing. I just did the tryouts as a freshman and had fun with it.

I wish I was flexible enough for gymnastics XD

Oh! On top of all the insane spendy archery stuff, you're also shooting at an insane distance. 70 meters. Since I only had compound bows for my tournaments, you'd only be 20-40 meters from the target. I'm still interested in getting a recurve like those one day.

Kat Dakuu 02-16-2018 06:34 PM

I am not flexible at all anymore. When I had back pain a while ago, I started stretching again and yeah....im not very stretchy.
