I guess we don't have junebugs here... but I've heard of them.

We do sometimes get a ladybug/Japanese beetle infestation with a warm winter/early spring.

And hey....ticks. Lyme disease was named after a town in my state, after all. Bleh! I'm pretty good at avoiding them, but last year on a hike I had one on me that bit me, and since I didn't know how long it was on me for, rather than be sorry, I went to the doctor and had them give me antibiotics.

I do believe that Japanese beetles are in the same genus and can be considered June bugs. They're not the kind we have though.

That sounds like a nuisance.

Wings of Writing 03-17-2018 09:15 PM

yeah i do think they're related.

my cat likes to eat moths. and i think she's eaten a lizard or two

The Kit-Kat Project 03-18-2018 12:57 AM

Pedro has eaten half a lizard....
Couldn't quite get the rest though. It kept squirming away.

hummy 03-18-2018 12:59 AM

No Pedro no! Spit it out buddy spit it out

Wings of Writing 03-18-2018 01:22 AM

crane flys. she also likes crane flies.
but i've def saved a gecko from here before.

Kat Dakuu 03-18-2018 05:50 AM

And yet my cat has left a dead field mouse on the porch and bats. Can't catch flies and doens't know how to eat a lizard, but hey.

Kirin Rosenbaum 03-18-2018 11:52 AM

My brother's cat eats flies and gnats.

The Kit-Kat Project 03-18-2018 06:59 PM

Aren't kitties the best like that?

Wings of Writing 03-18-2018 11:35 PM

i mean. my cat has never been outdoors, so no clue how'd she respond to like. a mouse.

The Kit-Kat Project 03-19-2018 01:50 AM

Those can get inside too ya know. We've found a injured one inside back when we had apricot. My mom caught it and put it back outside. Pretty sure a cat brought it in.

Wings of Writing 03-19-2018 02:11 AM

lol yes but they haven't.
except the times rats died in my wall as a kid. which was like. so not fun.

Linnea 03-19-2018 12:01 PM

my cousin's cat once caught a bat in the attic and brought it down stairs where it proceeded to let it go. the bat wasn't dead and flew all over the kitchen while my cousin screamed in terror

The Kit-Kat Project 03-19-2018 03:12 PM

That's....hilarious. though probably not at the time. XD poor bat. Poor cousin....

hummy 03-19-2018 03:25 PM

Bat cat entertainment...dinner x and a show =°•°=

The Kit-Kat Project 03-19-2018 04:50 PM

That should be the tagline of a show. Bat cat entertainment!

Linnea 03-19-2018 06:46 PM

i also thought it was pretty funny! I wish i had seen it!

Kat Dakuu 03-19-2018 08:37 PM

Linnea 03-20-2018 03:03 PM

Kat Dakuu 03-20-2018 03:41 PM

Yep, because that's the sort of thing you never want to let go. It must be documented for all posterity.

hummy 03-22-2018 03:20 AM

Linnea 03-22-2018 03:29 AM
