TaiyoTsuki 04-02-2014 07:24 PM

@ Lunna: Um...okay? I take it had something to do with April Fool's. And Serena has a cute icon in her siggy again!

@ Kirin: I'm good! Heading to a job fair today!

Lunna Dea 04-02-2014 07:25 PM

ah I see... to day is double gold day.

TaiyoTsuki 04-02-2014 07:33 PM

Yes, it is. Which is why I like this time of week on Menewsha.

Aaaaand the search engines are broken.

Lunna Dea 04-02-2014 07:47 PM

what were you looking for Taiyo?

serena yuy 04-02-2014 07:48 PM

I should get to the store this weekend. I'm sure the fiancé won't mind. I'd like to finally get more tea and some single serve flavoured tuna for salads :D

Lunna Dea 04-02-2014 07:56 PM

yes must get tea.

Suzanne Sky 04-02-2014 08:17 PM

I've been drinking the Arizona Green Tea with Ginseng lately - the kind in the one gallon jugs. Good, but a little pricey for me. I am down to the last half of my last jug, so after that it is water or hot tea from tea bags for me for awhile.

TaiyoTsuki 04-02-2014 08:34 PM

Hot tea is good...the only tea I'll drink cold anyway is sun tea. And no sugar for me...ew.

Lunna Dea 04-02-2014 08:34 PM

yah it is a bit pricey. it dose tasted good though.

TaiyoTsuki 04-02-2014 08:37 PM

I very rarely drink the Arizona Green Tea. It's too sweet for my taste.

serena yuy 04-02-2014 08:58 PM

I really don't drink teas like that often. I grew up on suntea in the summer. Only way we had Iced tea when I was a kid. No sugar in it either for me. If I use any sweeteners in my tea, it's usually honey.

TaiyoTsuki 04-02-2014 09:02 PM

It's RARE for me to have tea that's sweetened.

Ser, how do you get the icons in your siggy to rotate like that?

serena yuy 04-02-2014 09:40 PM

I use a random signature generator thingy ^^

Kirin Rosenbaum 04-03-2014 01:58 AM

Hope your job fair goes well.

Sweet tea was something I had to either get used to or avoid after I moved to Georgia. Most of the time we just brew it ourselves and sweeten to taste. Once I quit using sugar, though, I stopped drinking sweet tea completely. I stick with either green or herbal teas in bags or loose whenever I can find it at a farmer's market and I use liquid stevia, but rarely with tea. Took some getting used to!

I can imagine! I hear that it's very popular down south, and I have some relations that would brew it up all the time. It was like syrup!

I'm more of a coffee-drinker rather than tea, but I do love a good clove tea.

when I went to Atlanta I found that what you all call nonsweetened tea is what we here in the North West is Sweetened tea. I have to avoid buying tea there unless it is in a bottle and I know the company.

Kirin Rosenbaum 04-03-2014 04:48 AM

*refreshes the teas and treats before heading to bed*

Lunna Dea 04-03-2014 04:56 AM

thanks for the treats and tea Kirin.

Kirin Rosenbaum 04-03-2014 01:13 PM

no problem

Elmira Swift 04-03-2014 03:04 PM

Thank you for the tasty treats Kirin.

Yes, the sweet tea here is crazy. I'm not sure if the stuff I've had at other people's houses is as syrupy as the stuff we can buy in jugs at the store. That stuff is nasty and I think it's sweetened with high fructose corn syrup and not sugar.

We're about to run some errands and I'm going to try to get to a farmer's market type of store front. It's in a weird location in downtown with rather pathetic parking options. If it was just me, no biggie, but I'll have my minions with me. Hoping they will have some tea!!
