I can't get below 12 credit hours or else I can't keep my financial aid. Sadly, I learned that 12 credit hours is my workload limit during a semester or I risk being overloaded followed by me crashing and burning.

Yeah, that's me as well - I'm going to go insane next semester because in order to graduate next spring I need 15 units next semester. [sweat]

Ha. Just got my last final for my film class graded and surely enough my instructor as always makes me dislike her. You know me sourcing the information and her calling it a "jump in logic" despite it being factually accurate.

I had a couple 18 credit hour semesters back in the day. I can't do that anymore because all of the classes I'm taking are 300 level or above. I'm going to go back to 12 credit hours starting in the fall.

I will most likely take 15 credits in the spring to get done with school.

My writing instructor was pretty harsh on my short story, but I expected it. I still did pretty decent on it and now I'm excited to try and revise it over the summer.

I'm in all 400 level classes next semester. [gonk] I'm going to die. :/

Also, I feel film professors either extremely picky about presentations and stuff despite the fact that we only go over topics ever so slightly and then she expects us to scrounge around for stuff related to the topic at hand. Of course, I had a instructor during fall semester that wasn't overly picky but at least she understood that we're still learning.

Literally the topic we had for our final was only ever got over for maybe an hour each week for like 4 weeks. That's not enough and she expects us to be scholars and shit by then.

I think 300 and 400 level classes are similar in difficulty. I've had 400s that were easier than 300s by quite a lot, so it might not be as bad as you think, Cloud.

@Cole: Eh, I hate to say it but get used to it. XP It doesn't matter the major, you'll always have those professors. I had a professor last semester (and I've told this story in another thread so it might be familiar to you) who didn't really go over anything in class but then tested on minuscule details. You had to fully memorize chapters to pass his tests. It took 12 hours to read and take notes on a chapter, and there were four or more chapters per test.

Some teachers don't get it.

Mmmm.... thing is is that I can guarantee that none of them will have no interpreters, and with how it's looking I'll have two classes a day (2 hr 45 min) Wednesday/Thursday, and I'll need to be able to follow along without the help of someone interpreting. It's going to be EXHAUSTING. [yes]

And my roommate, who is in the 400 level classes now, loves to tell me how hard they are. [gonk] Even harder than the 300 level classes I'm in now.

@Ely: Professor can either be cool as beans or the most nitpicky of people. It's probably the PhDs that go to their head. If they have one.

@Cole: Yeah, it is. The professor who gave me so much shit last semester was a sweet guy but he was a graduate school professor who was filling in for a semester in the undergrad program. Holy shit. >.>

@Ely: Undergrads get treated like crap. I had a recitation teacher for my Intro to Film course who would extensively grade our stuff for grammar despite it not being the main focus of the class. It really annoyed us. She was supposed to be grading it for the content. Liked her in class, hated her grading.

Yeah, I had a similar recitation GTA this semester. Although, the class was ABOUT grammar, but holy cow that first paper was bad shit. I took the class seriously after that and did well, but he was harsh. Everyone but me failed the cover letter and resume assignment because he was so picky.

I was actually a little "ashamed" of my success. Of course I was happy, but I had to keep my mouth shut or get glared at by everyone else who failed. [lol] I'm not sure how everyone else did with the rest of the class. I'm guessing it went better after people realized how hard they had to work.

Yeah, pretty much. I had a class last semester, too, where the first test had a class average of 48. I got an 87 and after the permitted revision I had a 93. So I was just like. [ninja] I studied my ass off for that test.
