And I just got done watching the first episode of House of Cards. It's damn good especially since the first episode was directed by David Fincher who is one of my favorite directors. Finchers next film is Gone Girl that comes out this fall. Going to fall in love with that too.

I got ideas for an avant-garde film that I got as we were driving home from dinner from Red Lobster. It's abstract in nature. Pun intended. I'm thinking of calling it "Life" because that's what it'll be highlighting with accompanying narration talking about it.

By the way, House of Cards has an amazing soundtrack. It's an orchestral show. Mostly uses strings alongside some piano. It's very intriguing. Also dark. Much like the show.

Yeah, I have the same issue with Skyrim so I'm trying to avoid playing it or else my whole summer will go down the shitter.

Well, that sounds like it could be interesting, but I'd have to know more about the subject matter to say for sure.

Experimental films are hard to judge until they're completed. So i'm not saying much about it.

I'd rather do the work, edit, then let the piece speak for itself.

Mhmm. I do the same thing with my artwork and writing. Untrained eyes can't understand things like that while they're in process so I keep them under wraps.

I went out today, didn't do much special but I spent an hour in the library looking for new books. Then I went and walked around the sculpture gardens for awhile and went to the store to buy stuff for homemade pizza (which was delicious [drool]).

Yah. The town I live next to is really big on the arts. There are a few huge free sculpture gardens to walk around in. There's marble and bronze sculptures, abstract sculptures, American Indian and African sculptures...all set in really well kept gardens with trees and waterfalls and such.

It doesn't work like that. :P

I wish I lived in a town like that. The nearest arts related thing not even really in my city. I have to drive over an hour to even attempt something like that plus I might have to pay.

Also, I had a weird dream last night. In a janky Dunkin Donuts. Didn't even have a menu.

Part of the reason I love where I live so much is because of how artsy it is. My college town and the town I live next to are very artsy. All the mountain towns are very artsy, and even the small town I live in has a sculpture park. All of the electrical boxes are painted by professional artists, even. [lol]

I noticed that right after I made this avatar. I came back into this thread and said "well, shit." [lol] I was just trying to use the black wings and this happened. I blame you.

What did you do in this Dunkin' Donuts? I had a dream a few nights ago that I was a clan leader in a zombie apocalypse and I thought everyone was a retard so I was yelling at them about not getting killed.

I ordered hot chocolate and a chocolate covered donut with sprinkles. I then talked with the cashier on one of the three possible sides to order in this Dunkin which had no menu hanging up whatsoever.

I don't even know why I had the dream. I had no donut cravings. Not at all. Well, it might just be me missing campus. I also had a dream before that of the building i'm moving into next year except that...well...it wasn't that building. At least not in any architectural way. It had a staircase through the middle and apparently I was trying to carry stuff into my room. I know it was the building though because it had a similar style interior wise. Sorta. It just architecturally was not like it.

Huh. I dunno with dreams anymore. I used to think they're trying to tell us something but I don't buy it much. I had a dream a LONG time ago that I got pulled over by two very (stereotypical) butch lesbian cops for going well over the speed limit. I had to pretend I was a lesbian to get out of the ticket. XD

Well...er...that's odd. Really odd. I understand dreams when they deal with my campus. I had one dream where there was a serial killer on the loose on my campus and he kept creatively killing people. I had another one where there was someone trying to stop me from doing something. Note though: Each campus was layoutwise different and had elements...oh that reminds me of another dream. Apparently the building where my department is housed got caught on fire plus a girl I used to like used me to get something out of me. Also, the buildings were not accurate nor was campus anything like it was in any instance. All different layouts and buildings aren't obviously the same as they are in the real world but I know it's them. They tend to have instances and styles that hint back at the building.

Yeah, I know some dreams are our subconscious saying something. I've had a few dreams where I told off an ex. I have also had a lot of dreams related to my car. My car getting stolen, trashed, broken into, hijacked...yeah. It was all because I was still paying it off and was afraid something was going to happen to it. I also have a recurring dream where I chase a white cat through a corn maze. I always have that dream when I'm stressed out trying to find my way in life.

I have a few recurring dreams. They're mostly inner fears. Stuff that I won't ever mention but I know it'll hold me back. Such as me getting stuck on a train track and thus getting hit by a train.

I think the cat thing is my only recurring dream right now, but I haven't had it in a long time. I tend not to dream, honestly. If I do it's either nonsensical like getting pulled over by lesbian cops or it's the very rare sweet romantic dream.
