Nice Moonlight. She and my brother have actually been dating longer than my husband and I have been together.

Moonlit Freedom 08-10-2015 11:13 PM

Sometimes people just do things in their own time frame. No two couples go at the same pace. :]

Silver Storm 08-10-2015 11:18 PM

Oh I completely agree. And they went through a couple of break up and some growing up but they are finally ready.

Moonlit Freedom 08-10-2015 11:18 PM

My husband and I had been together less than a year when we tied the knot.

Silver Storm 08-10-2015 11:25 PM

Yeah my husband and I dated for about a year when he proposed. We were engaged for about a year and we have been married for a little over two years.

Moonlit Freedom 08-10-2015 11:27 PM

We've been married about a year and a half, and we have our first kid together due in 5 weeks. My daughter, who I came into our relationship with, he has adopted, but this is the first baby I've had full support the whole pregnancy. Which is wonderful. :]

Silver Storm 08-10-2015 11:33 PM

That is awesome. Right now our kids consist of a cat and a horse. I am kind of at the point where if we have kids cool and if not that is okay too. Besides we can always adopt.

Moonlit Freedom 08-10-2015 11:58 PM

We weren't really planning this baby but we're all excited! And we're doing all we can to get Norah ready for her sister.

Fur-babies count! :)
Sorry! I got distracted by the need for food, and my husband and daughter coming home. :]

Silver Storm 08-11-2015 12:03 AM

That is okay I got distracted too. Yeah we love our fur-babies.

Moonlit Freedom 08-11-2015 12:05 AM

My 2 1/2 year old wants a puppy like her Uncle has. [lol] And doesn't seem to want to take no for an answer.

Silver Storm 08-11-2015 12:08 AM

Haha. I miss having dogs but we live in an apartment and it just never seemed quite fair to me. Dogs need yards to frolic in, besides its an extra $30 a month per pet.

Moonlit Freedom 08-11-2015 12:09 AM

We have the room for a dog, but I just have no mental energy to take care of a newborn, a toddler and a dog all at the same time. xP We'd get a cat but my husband's allergic.

kelseydee 08-11-2015 12:12 AM

I'm pretty sure our landlord would throw us out for any of those.... Well, maybe not ever newborn but there's not much chance of that with me &the wife both getting long in the tooth.

Silver Storm 08-11-2015 12:12 AM

Yeah that could get a little crazy/hectic with a newborn, toddler and dog. To bad your husband is allergic. I have several friends that we can't ever have over to our house because they are allergic.

I'm sorry Cheshire.

Moonlit Freedom 08-11-2015 12:15 AM

So, we're trying to convince her that she wants a goldfish. [lol] So far, not going so good.

Yeah - oh well. At least it's something he's aware of - so we can be careful. I do love cats, but I won't risk putting him in danger.

Silver Storm 08-11-2015 12:27 AM

I don't blame you Moon, I wouldn't want to risk putting my hubby in danger either.

What about something like a guinea pig or rabbit? Little more fun and interactive than a goldfish but still lower stress than a dog.

Moonlit Freedom 08-11-2015 12:40 AM

I know that we're sticking by the no pet (other than a goldfish) until we at least find a routine with the new baby.

We have considered a small animal like that - we're trying to get her away from this whole idea that she needs a DOG and only a dog. xD "Mama! Nooo! Puppy!" is what I hear all the time! Or "Daddy!! No!! Puppy!!! Wike da one Unca Mike has! Nofing else!"

Work in progress here.

Silver Storm 08-11-2015 12:43 AM

I understand. And its always better to wait and see what you can handle, than get a pet and realize that you bit off more than you can chew.

Moonlit Freedom 08-11-2015 12:46 AM

Yeah - I'm just glad that Dan has taken over trying to convince Norah that we need to wait to get a pet, because it's almost too much stress for me to handle right now.

We do need to see how things will go before we decide to add anything else into the mix. And until then, she can play with my brother's dog as she sees them often - as they live in the same complex that we live in. :)

Silver Storm 08-11-2015 12:54 AM

Well that helps. Both that Dan has taken over the convincing and that your brother lives so close. Well and the frustrating thing with getting her a dog is that you guys are probably going to be doing all the care.

Moonlit Freedom 08-11-2015 12:56 AM

Yeah, it really helps on both counts. :]
That's exactly why we won't be getting a dog right now - maybe when she's older but right now, nope.

How's your night going?

Silver Storm 08-11-2015 01:04 AM

Not that I know ANYTHING about parenting, but have you tried telling her that? Maybe that has no affect.

Ehh it was good but I started getting really congested and now the whole left side of my face is throbbing.

Moonlit Freedom 08-11-2015 01:12 AM

We have tried telling her that but she's 2 1/2 - she really doesn't understand.

Awww. :( That doesn't doing good or fun at all!! :/ [hug] I hope that you start to feel better soon!

Silver Storm 08-11-2015 01:30 AM

Yeah that's true. Guess she wouldn't really understand.

Thanks. I am about to pour myself a cup of coffee, hoping the warmth will help clear the sinuses.

Moonlit Freedom 08-11-2015 01:33 AM

the Cheshire Pisces: If a landlord ever kicks one out for having a newborn... there is something SERIOUSLY wrong with that landlord.... :/

Silver: She's got a one track mind right now.

Oh I miss Coffee!! I hope that it helps!
