Maleficent is not the Mistress of All that is Evil, she is a woman scorned and wronged. Why do so many forget that she wasn't invited to the party, in fact, she was deliberately excluded.

I preferred the original Maleficent, the one from the original animated Sleepy Beauty.
She wasn't scorned, she was just an evil woman to be evil. I love evil to be evil, not evil for a reason. :s |
What party are we talking about? I only know the original animated sleeping beauty by disney.

I think it was much cooler to see Maleficent really evil over absolutely nothing, than to see her be evil because she didn't get invited to a party. :s
But I think in the movie, Maleficent she was evil because the king took her wings. Which, is understandable, but I didn't like how she ended up loving Aurora in the end. I wanted her to be an evil bitch and stay evil!!! [twisted] |
Yeah that was one reason I didn't like the live action Maleficent.

I haven't even seen the movie yet but my friend gave me a scene by scene and i was like ".... she's gonna be the one to kiss aurora awake isn't she" yup? yeah okay. don't need to watch the movie i guessed it already.

To me, the original cartoon was much better.
But I mean, Maleficent wasn't by any means a *bad* movie. [sweat] |
So far the best live action Disney movie is Beauty and the Beast. Well in my opinion anyways.

I completely agree with you, Kirin!
I think some people felt that Beauty and the Beast was basically the exact same as the original but with more backstory. For some reason I hated Beauty and the Beast, the animated version, but absolutely adored the live action one. |
