Pings go around a lot. I'm always lurking in the shadows in Menewsha Nation, so I don't usually need them here unless a thread moves really fast. That would be RAK. I tend to underestimate how much other people need a ping to places, and then I'm like, "How did you miss that post?"

I get distracted super easily so I can see needing one in a fast moving thread. I think if you went to the forums section, it might help to have a button that allows me to go to my recent posts so I can find the thread I was in last? ( I know how to find that from my profile but it's a few more clicks and digging. ) I'll keep that in mind about pinging people though, don't want to use it unnecessarily Since you lurk, I can see how it'd be like @[email protected] getting a PM even though you're RIGHT THERE looking at the post. Haha. :3 I can keep up with a basic pace, I just have to let go of my obsession with not missing any posts or this will become tumblr for me. I will go back 90+ pages on my dash to get to where I was last night. That's terrible. T_T SO TIME CONSUMING! |
It's mainly when I'm absent from a fast thread that I need any at all. Otherwise I can keep up. I haven't been in a thread I'd say was "too fast" in years. They call me a droid because I post so fast. I'm too busy doing homework right now.
You understand! It's a small annoyance of mine to be summoned where I already am. Most people don't care. They put it in their signature if they do. I don't have a Tumblr, but I've gone through over 200 pages of a blog after being away for a while. I've seen other people say they do that on F Yeah blogs. It happens. |
Yeah, if I haven't been around in a while and someone wants my attention to something recently posted I don't think I'd mind too much. :3 We'll see, hehe. I'm messing around on FFXIV right now myself, I plan to try drawing some avatars on here to see if that will get me inspired again. I've been in an art slump for a while and Miss PiM keeps trying to draw with her. Gotta get back into the groove somehow... @[email protected];;; |
I've been drawing whenever I get a break. My drawings aren't turning out especially good or bad right now, but I wanna get better!

Yeeeah.. I forgot how to sketch... ._.;; It's been almost a year since I did anything substantial... It's getting really bad... Drama in life and stuff really killed my art and I have to pick up the pieces and try again heh. I'll get there. I do truly love to draw, and I have kind and awesome people rooting me on too. ^^ |
I forgot how to do anime style. I do realistic now with the occasional chibi. It's okay. I'm not into stylizing anymore. I wouldn't draw professionally because I'm too slow.

Mine just fluctuates. I guess it's anime style, but I never had an artist I particularly tried to mimic. Although I loved Sailor Moon as a kid and it was the anime that got me into it all, I think I ended up being more influenced by like Final Fantasy Tactics.. ( Hence the fact until like 5 years ago when some guy pointed it out, I never drew noses LOL ) Just go with the flow, I say. I will find something that works for me again, and you'll find something you'll be happy with. I don't think I could do it professionally but I would love to do something with it... I have friends constantly telling me I should do a comic but I am really terrible at committing and I tend to spend too much time fretting over details and never actually beginning. |
I used to copy the style explained in an anime art book, but I decided to break away from the book, and next thing I knew I was only doing realistic.
I've known for a long time how I want to draw. I'm trying to get there. I wish I had the means to color my drawings. >o< |
When I was 17 I got a tablet for my birthday and my art really took off after that.. I had been drawing on paper and inking with pen and coloring with color pencil... but they were kind of ??? Then I was able to use layers and all kinds of things and I absolutely love it. D: Do you draw traditionally? I honestly wish I was better at it myself, I have a friend who sketches and shades on paper and it looks so darn cool. That being said... I forgot how to color too. @[email protected] |
I used to use colored pencils. When I first started out. I do have a tablet, and I've used it often. Right now I draw on paper. I alternate between that and CG art. And then sometimes I draw on paper, scan it, and then trace over and color it on the computer. If I ever get a fancy drawing program, I'll probably go back to the tablet.

Yeah I honestly wouldnt have any programs if my friend didn't share her Sai with me. She owns a license.. A lot of people use Photoshop Elements because they used to just give that away with printer / scanner purchases.. There's a program like FireAlpaca or something that's free? People told me about that one but I haven't tried it. |
PiM! was talking about one called Paint.net a while ago.

There's also one called Gimp, I used that for a while when I was using Linux for whatever reason but I know it works on Windows too. I'm sure you can find something that works right for you. It's a shame they are all so expensive though. |
I used to have that, not for drawing, but I uninstalled it because I couldn't learn how to use it. Everything ever is too expensive and I'm not gonna make it. ._.
