Honestly, it's one of a few things remotely healthy I can get my son to eat!! He has food sensory issues, so it either needs to be sweet or bland. Are you trying to find balance with proteins and sugars in your diet?
|
Hello everyone. survive april 1st?
|
Yes! How about you?
|
My mother in law put balloons in the fridge and cabinets. that was the extent of April Fools. XD
but I got a call asking for an interview set up today. now I'm all nerves. |
Is this for a job you're interested in? That's pretty exciting!!
|
For a Park Guide position in Texas. I'm also waiting ot hear back from a park position in Utah. I had that interview last week.
|
That is very exciting and I understand the stress! Fingers crossed over here that they will contact you soon [hug]

I'm sorry, I thought I had replied when you pinged me last time. I see that I didn't. Sorry [gonk]
|
Some some odd posts on Facebook from a biohacking site I frequent. A few others were obvious pranks, but I was home dealing with sick kids so I missed out on pranking/being pranked!!
See or experience any good ones? |
You must never leave, Biggles! I won't allow it.
Elmira - My favorites are the ones that are obvious jokes - maybe they get you for half a second, but they're mostly just silly. Modcloth's was pretty funny! Last year the Old Navy facebook page announced they were releasing a line of fur suits - that one was good. [lol] I don't like the ones that are cruel - either because they make you think something bad is happening, or make you think something really good is happening and thus disappoint you when you realize it's a joke. Just silliness is good. [yes] |
I hadn't seen the one by Modcloth! Agree with you about silly pranks versus those that are a bit mean-spirited. It's supposed to be a day of fun and foolishness and not hurtful.
I am still trying to figure out when we are leaving for errands today and where we will go. Having my son with me is problematic because he is either very well-behaved in stores or very NOT. Thought things would be okay, but he's already arguing with me. And it's a non-issue type of argument so having him in close proximity to toys may not be a good thing. The plus side is I know he's feeling better than he did earlier this week!! Yea!! |

I'm just sneaking on real fast on my work break! Hope that everyone is having a good day! :] |
That's fantastic news, Moonlit Freedom!! Congratulations [glomp]
|
This seems like a cool idea! uvu Forts are the bomb >.>;;........
|
There's something so cozy and magical about them. [:)]
Elmira - No tips from me on dealing with argumentative children, I'm afraid. [lol] |
Cherry ~ he informed me last night I needed to do whatever he "commands" me to do. I have no idea where he gets this from and he's 5yo. He will argue with you about the color of the sky. Generally speaking, he is very silly and sweet - it's just whenever he gets it in his mind he is absolutely correct about something, you cannot dissuade him at all. Again, NO clue where he gets this from since I am so sweet and easy-going. [angel]
|
Oh my goodness. @[email protected] I commend you for being able to handle that! I am weak, I could not last one day with a 5 year old. [lol]
|
He is so opposite my daughter and, good grief, I cannot keep up with him. He is very charming, though, and we are usually mobbed by little old ladies when we're out and about.
We still need to build our fort and I'm hoping to do it this weekend! I'll post a pic. |
This fort is gorgeous :o!
We never really made any when both myself and my little brother were little, shame, that. Hi everyone! |
Hi Suzulia!
I recall making forts outdoors more than indoors, so I love the ideas I'm seeing here! |
Ah, I slept all day and am still tired... sigh.
|
My forts were mostly made with couch cushions. I'd take them off the couch, stand them up, and put in a TV tray or two for good measure, then have my mom throw a blanket over the whole thing. Of course, we're talking very young here - young enough that I was too short to put on the blanket for myself. come to think of it, doubt I built the walls myself either. [lol]
I am always tired. Forever. |
Elmira Swift: Thank you! [heart] :)
Cherry: Forts were a big part of my childhood - same, I did the couch cushion forts till I was too big to fit in them and them moved to tables and chairs. Forts just make everything better! :) |
So today I finally gathered up the courage to read some of my poetry at my college's open mic night! [:)] I didn't die!
