OH MY GOSH! I'm so happy for you guys! Congratulations! She's beautiful! And I don't actually think babies are generally attractive, so that's a BIG compliment from me!

And as far as I'm aware, not many people I know out of my local circle of friends is going to Otakon this year, so I don't think they have to deal with her. I wonder how she's affording to go to Otakon, because if I remember right, the only money she really makes is from babysitting her sister's kid. So unless she's saving every pretty penny, I can't see how she's going to be able to go.

And now it is time for me to take a moment to cranky about the fact that it is morning and I desperately want to still be asleep right now. And this job I took wasn't the job I thought it was and is instead one of my least favorite high school jobs.

Mark, I hope things go well. There are events I go to locally for spiritual "stuff" and I have a small list of people I tend to avoid because they are all drama and just not folks I want to be near. Also don't want my kids around them because they are skeevy. AND I tend to poke at people a bit if they look in my general direction and I think it's time for a smack down. I'm not usually confrontational, but if someone questions my integrity, intelligence, or I know they are gossiping, I am not cool about it. I do understand about the stress of a potential confrontation though.

Meeting went well today. The individuals who were a problem are no longer there, and the special ed teacher Otto will have is someone I've met before - totally awesome lady with crazy spiky hair and tattoos. They cannot make any changes to his IEP until 2016, so I am feeling a bit less stressed.

Oh ~ there are also opportunities for me to help out at the school library. They told me there's an open position for a media specialist (not my degree) and I know someone with that degree who is local and looking! Also some volunteering opportunities for Soki.
