I don't bother with a chaser. If the whiskey or whatever is strong, you breathe in through your nnose, and out your mouth. It reduces the burn, and you calm down, too.
I'm with friends the last few times I was drinking and I talk a lot when I'm with them, so I guess I'm sure I ended up breathing through my mouth. xD I'll try to remember that next time.

Ah, brands of root beer are super nice. Barq's is good, since it is perfect for root beer floats. It doesn't get drowned out inn syrupy sweetness to the ice cream.
Have you ever had homemade root beer? Like, the semi alcoholic kind they brew? I used to have that so much as a child in a fair that was held once a year. They sold it in brown glass bottles with replaceable tops that you popped. Like a mason jar, only a bottle.
Oh man, I love ginger beer. It is so much BETTER than ginger ale. Less ... sharp, I guess? Ginger beer is something everyone should have. It is nonalcoholic and decaffeinated. Nothing to worry about other than sugar, I think.

You take a drink of it and then it's like you have to wait a moment for your tongue to get over the distraction before taking another.

Oh, it's American, I think, it's like one of those brands like "Bob's" or "Mike's" or something, like a guy's name, I think, and it's got all Jamaican colors like red and green and all on.

I'll be moving to another island next week D: I'm happy for myself but sad for my cat. She'll be with my family, so it's not like I'll be giving her away but she'll no longer have someone to snuggle with and follow around the house.

Last time I moved to a different island for a job, my sister said she stayed in my bedroom lying on my blanket for weeks and only went out of my room to eat and poop/piss. She knows I'll be leaving again. She's been lying on top my luggage and has been watching me pack.
That last time while I was away for around 3 or 4 months because of a job, when I came back she acted like she couldn't believe I was back. She acted like everything's normal and that I have never left but around 10pm, she started meowing for me in my bedroom while I was talking to my sister in the kitchen. She was demanding that I should already be in my bedroom by that time so she could snuggle next to me while I read a book or go online. She never did that before, only that time.
She sounds like my cat, she lives on my bed and doesn't like to leave it.
She got lost outside for a while, and I had to nurse her back to health when I found her again, and since then, she won't leave the bed except for necessaries, and won't leave anyone alone who so much as sits or stands near the bed. She's the most affectionate thing since getting over her trauma.
She never did that before, only that time.
