My father has probably never told, nor understood a joke in his life.

I think puns just seemed like some sort of intelligence-insulting waste of time to him, but I'm not sure, as he never really talked about it... waste of time, and all...

If I see him sometime in the next few years, maybe I'll ask him, lol.

Know why dads make dad jokes? Because they aren't allowed to make dirty jokes to children, and don't want their kids to pick up on anything too filthy.

If they're good dads, that is.

Yeah, they're the only jokes dads know that aren't in any way offensive. It's difficult for some grownups to do anything G-rated without it coming off a bit corny, it's really not their fault.

For some reason, my father is sort of anti-humorous. He couldn't even tell a dad joke to save his life.
