Sorry for disappearing for hours - we had a family friend from Minnesota, who my parents forgot to tell me was showing up today - show up, and I was the only one home, so I had to go play hostess.

Our friend, used to study bears - has been bitten by a bear (she showed us pics - thankfully she convinced them not to put the bear down, because she [our friend] was invading the bears space and that's why she attacked), and now gets paid to take students for 6 weeks to the Galapagos twice a year. Among other awesome adventures! She also spent 5 months in India as part of a study abroad program through the college she teaches at, then spent a bit of time in Nepal and in Belgium. (another month). So she was gone from the last week in December of 2013, to June 2014. She does a lot of traveling. LOL.
