I'm so sick of people acting like it's so bad and acting that way... please, stop acting immature about it... -.- Sure I may not like it, but at least I don't act like those who have watched/seen it are bad for having watched/seen it. -.-

This. I concur.
Also, I think Dakota Fanning was in it? Weird.

CloudDreamer 01-08-2015 05:45 AM

It's not that I have a crush on Barrowman, it's just that I love that he just is who he is, and doesn't let people crush that spirit that he has. Plus he's just so gosh darned hilariously amazingly funny! [love]
And omg, boy can he sing... REALLY well!!

Kenome-Chan 01-08-2015 05:46 AM

OH MAN
I'm behind now.
I watch some movies but like Anime is where it's at for me.

Roxxxy 01-08-2015 05:47 AM

No, the one I saw at least, was awful.
I had never read the books, but the script was bad. The writing was bad, the acting was bad... it was just bad all around.
If I were a fan of the books, I would have been so disappointed with the films (at least, in the one I watched).
It's like when they made Queen of the Damned. Terrible movie, but an amazing book.
Anne Rice is such a goddess [drool]

Keno: Have you ever watched the anime Free! ?
I just ran across it today, was planning to start watching it.
In the middle of Excel Saga now.

Kenome-Chan 01-08-2015 05:49 AM

Excel Saga is good!
And I actually just started watching Free!
Though I can't find the site I was watching it on so I haven't been able to..

CloudDreamer 01-08-2015 05:51 AM

Turning books into movies... you will NEVER match the expectations that readers have, mainly because books, you can paint the picture that you want in your head, and that will never be matched on screen... Ever. Sure it doesn't help that I do totally agree with you with all of that, that just makes it worse.
But there is no way that book to film productions will ever meet readers full expectations, in my opinion at least. [yes]

Roxxxy 01-08-2015 05:51 AM

I found it on crunchyroll.

CloudDreamer 01-08-2015 05:51 AM

Ugh, my internet really hates me tonight.

*hides in a corner with her Nook*

Roxxxy 01-08-2015 05:52 AM

Cloud: I mostly feel that way too. Also, I feel that way about re-makes and sequels. If they are done poorly, then it ruins a bit of what I once loved. Ya know?

CloudDreamer 01-08-2015 05:53 AM

Ugh! Don't even get me started on re-makes. Sequels, sometimes if done well are ok. It just depends. [yes] I do feel like the latest Night at the Museum was a fitting tribute and in a way a way to say goodbye to Robin Williams, but usually I agree, Sequels sometimes ruin it. It just depends though. [yes]

Kenome-Chan 01-08-2015 05:54 AM

I think they did well with the Harry Potter books.

And I don't have crunchyroll.
/sobs

CloudDreamer 01-08-2015 05:55 AM

*bangs head into wall* Eh... yeah, over all they did ok with the HP books... Mostly. But ugh... how they did the end of the last movie... don't even get me started... [headdesk] D: Things happened in there that DID NOT happen in the books... -.-

*sighs and disappears off into a corner*

onsenmark 01-08-2015 05:56 AM

Listening to Ambiguous at the moment... and now I have the urge to go watch Kill la Kill again. [sweat]

SuperZombiePotatoe 01-08-2015 05:57 AM

OMG THAT'S RIGHT
They butchered that last movie!
I totally forgot that.

And I don't have Netflix at the moment or I'd finish watching Kill La Kill.

Roxxxy 01-08-2015 06:01 AM

You're gonna laugh, or think I'm retarded, or both, but...
I never watched or read Harry Potter. For many reasons, but this is one: There was a movie called Troll. It starred Noah Hathaway, who was my very first film crush (when he was in Neverending Story <3 ). Anyway... the character he played was a sorcerer named Harry Potter. D:<

Also, my brother just posted this on FB. I almost died! XD
World's Greatest Friend Sends Ridiculous Benedict Cumberbatch Name Variations from Look What I Found

CloudDreamer 01-08-2015 06:02 AM

Yes, and it pissed me off! D: [headdesk] Maybe that's why I've not bought either of the last two movies... plus... splitting it into two. D: They just wanted the money... Bleh! D: Ugh! *Sigh*

There are.. um... frogs in our pool and they croak at night and my grandfather gets annoyed so I spent the morning catching them. Got four.

CloudDreamer 01-08-2015 06:04 AM

Sad! You're missing out on SO MUCH FREAKING AWESOME!!! D: But your loss... You're life, you can choose what ever you want to do..
But really, they're worth a read if anything. [yes] I did enjoy them, they were my childhood.

Internet won't let me open anything other than Mene really right now...

SuperZombiePotatoe 01-08-2015 06:05 AM

Ah. Okay, then. [sweat]

Roxxxy 01-08-2015 06:07 AM

I was too old for them when they came out, and it's not really my genre.
I have seen snippets while channel surfing, and it could never hold my interest.
Honestly, I have never read anything by Tolkein either. Watched all 6 movies, and thought they were great.
I promised Kirin I'd consider reading them.

---------- Post added 01-08-2015 at 01:08 AM ----------

I'll take your frogs! [eager]
I have been wanting to get one, but they don't sell the kind I want in the States. To the best of my knowledge.

CloudDreamer 01-08-2015 06:09 AM

Heh, so fluent that I now start signing along to songs as I listen to them... NOT singing, I meant Signing... Not a typo.

And your life, your choice. You choose what to do. I just know whenever I have kids, those books will be read to them. [love]
