I think there's a different one that's not the my friends pings. It's like an all online ping or something.

Alice: I'm ok with them EVERY so often... as long as one doesn't abuse them and ping me all the time. If it's to get my attention to something important.. or something that I need to see (that I'll miss without the ping to draw my attention to it) - then sure, it's ok but it's when they get abused and used all the time that I have a serious problem with them. But for the most part, I'm not a fan.
