no, a few weeks ago he just said to mom,
'i need to go to the ER, get dressed!'
my father never goes to the doctor!
i don't know the particulars either
apparently they waited to tell me
so i don't know how to worry

did they get to reattach eastiedad's thumb
i squished my thumb between the sliding door and the charlie bar
i had a hunk of thumb the size of a dime and about a half inch deep cut
i cleaned it and pushed it back in, it's still not healed properly, two years later =(

hummy you should have probably gone to the docs for that. Yeah it wasn't completely off, it was like hanging like a hing and his tendon had twanged up in to his arm. They patched him up well, he has a nasty scar and some missing tissue and lack of sensation in the top of his thumb, but he made a full recovery.
He was a milk man at the time and it was the middle of the night and he slipped carrying a milk bottle. He couldn't call anyone and he could drive back to the yard to get help so he had to run like a mile to get help.
My dad is hard core yo.

Oh, the kids got what they wanted from us and from Santa, well not everything - but they were happy. Now to find places to put all their new things that love to end up all over the house. [rofl]

yep, he had to go through the holidays not knowing when he'd be operated on.

Now to figure out what to do - I've just got the eldest, who is only in daycare a few days a week to socialize, but that's just Wednesday-Friday, so she's curled up next to me watching a movie that she picked out, and the youngest are napping... I think I'll relax a bit more until I absolutely need to get up. [lol] Laziness here!
