Right-o. I can probably work with that. Though, admittedly, it knocks a few things of of my list.
Personally, I've been enjoying the Netflix original Peaky Blinders, of late...but I am 100% sure that it wouldn't be to most people's tastes.
As for suggestions: Touch is sweet and heartbreaking and beautiful. Sherlock is quite good, though I feel that most folks have seen it these days. Luther is really good (but really painful to watch), The 100 is neat (good concept, good execution). This list should be longer....
Alright...so it's actually pretty difficult for me to come up with things that aren't a wee bit on the dark side of things...oops...
This probably says something about me, doesn't it?
Amane - I know that feeling. Dragon Age: Inquisition spent quite a bit of time eating my life. It being a nice way to de-stress after work.
Snow is overrated. >.> (says the New Englander)

I have seen Sherlock - and waiting impatiently for the next season.
I'm not totally sure I want to get into a new series (for me) right now though with the semester starting... As I won't have the time as soon as things really start picking up.
I may just end up going to the list of movies/shows that I have marked as ones that I like and pick something at random from that and just watch something I've already seen as that way I can't get any more sucked into a new thing - because I've seen them all already. :)
It just tells me that you have tastes that are uniquely your own. ^_^ Nothing wrong with that.

Being near the heart of the polar vortex last year set my expectations high.

Oh, movies...why didn't I think of those?
Might I suggest Odd Thomas? It's...alright, admittedly a bit creepy, I suppose. But it's so damn cute. >.< Honestly though, I thought it was going to be kinda kitschy or lame from the first few minutes, and then it was really really good.
Other suggestions: Stardust (because apparently there are people who haven't seen this...and it's also cute) and erm...I'm drawing a blank on what's actually on Netflix. Most of the movies I would recommend live elsewhere.

The view from my window at home is wonderful, and not full of city of walls... here it's just a road, buildings, parking lot, and the mountains that surround the Valley down here in LA.
View from my bed: Without getting up. XD (taken a few days ago) Not trying to beat it... there is no game in playing "who has the 'worse' view"... I am not playing that game... this just happens to be what I see outside my window.

Not sure that I'm really into something that could possibly be creepy. I really have trouble enough sleeping at night with my insomnia.
Oh, I could go and re-watch Stardust! It is a good movie! I have no access, sadly, to anywhere else. I only have access to Netflix because my parents let me use their account for instant watch.

Ahh~just kidding, kidding. Was just messing with you.
There's actually a party somewhere in the neighborhood and I guess there will be noise all the night. As long as it doesn't hurt my ears it'll be fine.

Luna: The boys above me love playing music loud - they're deaf and that's the only way they can listen to it. Thankfully they don't do it all the time, and most of the time it's decent music.
Hope that you can sleep tonight!

I should be sleeping, but the adrenaline hasn't wore off yet. I want to cut some papers for my collage, but my hands are still shaking a bit.

You said you were doodling on it, right? Is it just drawings, or did you do something like scrapbooking?

The idea sounds good. Helping to liberate yourself from creativity block. But after reading the part of poking holes I imagined myself stabbing the hell out of it ;;;>___>
But how far has it helped you? Does it really work or do you use it to just relieve stress?

Do you want to see what I did with that page?
This is what I did.
And who's saying that you can't just stab it as much as you want? You make it into your book, your journey. ^_^
What do you mean by does it really work?
And I've only had it since Thursday. So I'm not totally sure if it works, even though I've no idea really what that really means.
I really just bought them, and the other ones I got, to give myself ways to be creative and get away from course work, every so often. :)
But given that it's just a week in - I'm not sure if it'll help with stress. We'll see.

I once saw a page telling you to take a shower with it. *horrified screaming* And another telling you to stick gum to it. *gags*
