That does sound tough. When I'm tired just trying to comprehend english is hard enough, but ASL... I'd die. |
Sleep is so important, but I definitely admire people who can still go to school or work with no sleep.
I used to be able to do that. Then when I graduated high school, I spent a year not doing anything and I got spoiled with too much sleep. Now I feel like a complete zombie if I don't get at least 4-5 hours of sleep. I can't function or anything, I can't even walk if I don't get enough sleep. |
I have schizophrenia that's triggered easily, and with little sleep I start hallucinating again and screaming and crying... it's almost like I go into a trance. I HAVE to have at least 7 hours EVERY night and it's really really inconvenient. But it's better than seeing the noise again. [:(] Even with medication... it use to be a lot worse.

So, those videos from yesterday remind me of this.

When I start missing sleep for days on end I usually end up so out of control I have to go to the hospital. Sleep is soooo crazy important and even more so for people with mental health disorders! @Cloud That sounds tough! Have you tried giving yourself a sleep schedule? Like, have a set of things you do to prepare your body for sleep? Edit; sjacklene Is that "Shit Girls Say"? I'm on my phone so I can't really watch it right now, but I loved Shit Girls Say!! Lol! |
Ava: Nope, schedules don't work. I try to do that, but I'll still be up to crazy hours of the night, even with me trying to sleep. [yes] If I'm lucky, I'll be asleep by 12:30 am, usually it's closer to 2 am or 3 am. [yes] And that's with me trying to go to bed by 11 pm. Or earlier. :/ Yeah, they don't work for me. And I refuse to take meds for it, because forcing myself to sleep when I'm not tired makes my body rebel against me even more. :/
|
*slides in* whats up all??
|
.---.;; I sleep at the most random-ass times.

Oh, I see. :( Yeah, I'm the same way with medication. I find that when I take my medication for sleep, I still manage to stay awake for a couple of hours because my body is like; "Sleep?! Challenge accepted!!!" And then my mind goes a hundred miles a minute. Have you thought about seeing a sleep specialist maybe? |
Ava: I know what causes my insomnia to act up ... nothing that they could tell me. It's caused by the stress that college causes. Plain and simple. I sleep better when I'm at home on break... I get back to school... guess what, the insomnia is back... Plus that costs money, which I don't have.
For me, they make me sleep, but I wake up feeling even more yucky and out of it than I would have felt if I didn't sleep. So yeah, meds are not for me. I make do with what sleep I get. |
I'm happy, i got ride of my headache.. and in a minute i need to start the laundry 'grimces' fun fun not..

@sjacklene
OKAY SO... So I'm home now for a little while and I just watched that video! OMG. It's hilarious and I can relate to it, it's so painful! xD Some days I just want to chop all of my hair off because it frustrates me so much! @Cloud I can understand that. :( That sounds like a real pickle to be in. D: I hope that once college is over, (which is soon, right?) then your sleep will be able to become a little more regular. Getting hardly any sleep each night is awful. @star Good luck with the laundry! |
Star: Yay for getting rid of your headache!! Definitely a relief there!
Ava: I hope so, but we'll see. I'm not really holding my breath. It's still iffy even when I'm not in school - but not quite nearly as bad, but a bad day every so often. At least the plus is that when I don't have things to do, I can sometimes, sort of sleep in... if sleep decides to let me. xDD See thing is, after 8 years of it. I'm used to it... I do my homework at night, when I can't sleep. And that routine works for me. |

I normally throw my hair up, mostly because of my major, I can't have hair in front of my face as being able for people to see my face when I am conversing with them is key. [yes]
But there are times when my hair cooperates and I feel ok having it down, which is rarely. I always air dry it as blow drying hair is bad for it. |
CloudDreamer: I'm feeling much better today, and yesterday a good thing happened. You helped me to keep my spirits up. I know you don't like pings, but I need to tell you something very important.
Thank you. On a happier note then yesterday.....I now have a G-231 Yamaha Guitar :D |

And I'm glad that I helped. ^-^ And that your day today is going much better, that's great! If you ever need to talk again in the future, my inbox is always open. You're very welcome. :] That's great! Is that something you've wanted for awhile? ^_^ |
I should really post more...[zzz]

hmm how's this for a v day outfit?

@Cloud & sjacklene
I hate doing my hair too! Lol. My hair is very, very curly. It tries to be an afro if I just let it do it's own thing, but it always looks awful if I don't attempt to style it. My hair is so weird, it takes years to straighten and there's no point in curling it. And I had my hair cut a year ago by some idiot who felt that I needed my hair "layered" so now it's really choppy and I can't pull it into a big puff because some "layers" are too short. Dx |

I totally know the feeling about just not having the patience to straighten it. Plus my hair won't stay straight. xD Ugh, I love layers yet hate them at the same time. I can say that when I did get it layered the last time, the guy who did it did make it look really cute. I can try to find a pic, if y'all wanna see. Although given that I have no patience, it'll never look that cute again. :P |

I wanna see! I am sure you can get it just as good! |
