That's the thing, there really isn't anything on my laptop.
Most of it was from downloads which I uninstalled. But when re-installing that
stuff it went onto my Pc C drive and not the external.

So I am confused. >__<

Vanora 02-26-2015 12:39 AM

I asked my ex. He says you have to move it there [to the external] yourself.

When you download or install something, it doesn't instal in the external. You have to move it yourself afterwards

Does he know how to do that?
I'm sorry im such an idiot. [gonk]

Vanora 02-26-2015 12:49 AM

He says you just drag and drop what ever it is you downloaded onto the external.

I just do not get how
since the drive is on the Pc tab and the downloads is in the download folder. x. x

EDIT:
NEVERMIND. I figured it out. x.x

Woah,
I feel like a caveman. I have no idea what you are talking about, and I don't know what a TB is!

Kenome-Chan 02-26-2015 01:48 AM

TB = Terabyte
Like GB is gigabyte.
MB is megabyte.
KB is kilobyte.

TB is the biggest.
I actually put them in order. LOL

HM WAIT
My computer is 8GB So it can only store that much info on it like images and documents and music.

Edit:
Okay so maybe my computer is more than that..
8GB isn't a lot for a laptop..

Ava The Vampire 02-26-2015 01:50 AM

Ohh. I see. I think I know what a Gigbyte is.
Not too sure on those other ones. I probably use them all the time, though, I just don't know their names.

I am not too computer savvy. I used to think I was a computer wiz, and I probably was for my age when I was like... 5. But now I'm like, "What is this button? How did I get to this site? WTF is all of this?! WTF IS HTML?!? GAH!"

llonka 02-26-2015 01:52 AM

Haha that's me too Ava. As long as I can get on the internet and get to my bookmarked websites, i'm good. [lol]

Amane 02-26-2015 01:52 AM

LOL. TBs hit me out of nowhere, too. It's a terabyte, which I gather is 1,000 GB. Since that's, like, an armada of disk space, that's why storage units that come in TB are always some low number like 4 TB.

Fuu's computer doesn't have a disk drive, so she got an external one to plug into it. We're talking about how it works.

Kenome-Chan 02-26-2015 01:53 AM

Well have you ever played video games?
A PS2 uses a 8MB Memory card.
And game saves save in KB.

You are correct in this.

1,000 KB is 1MB.
1,000 MB is 1GB.
and 1,000 GB is 1TB.
If I remember correctly.

Amane 02-26-2015 02:00 AM

My netbook has 19 GB on it, and that is not good for a gamer. But netbooks aren't for gaming. It also doesn't have a disk drive.

A GB is 1,000 megabytes. This is what you want to see when looking at how much a computer holds. So many hundred GB is GREAT.
MB is 1,000 kilobytes.
According to the Internet, a kilobyte is 1,024 bytes. SURPRISE!

In short, a byte is the smallest.

I'm watching TV, so my posts are lagged and probably unnecessary by the time I finish them.

My daddy knows computers really well, amazingly, but if I have a computer problem, I go caveman and hit the thing.

Ava The Vampire 02-26-2015 02:01 AM

If you ever want to find a way to utterly confuse me and make me totally speechless, you can definitely remember to start using tech speech and I'll be silent as the grave. [rofl]

I've played PS2 before, but I never wondered about the disk space. If my memory card ran out of memory for my video games, I just bought another one and kept playing.

I was never a really big gamer to the point that I knew all about the technology behind the game. I don't really care about graphics, I mean, I don't like graphics to look like they were made with a potato or anything, but as long as it's not like, super cheap, I'm okay with crappy graphics and I really just... don't care that much about gaming, so I have no idea about any tech stuff lol.

---------- Post added 02-25-2015 at 08:02 PM ----------

Yeah, that's how I solve my computer problems too, Amane... I just hit it.
Or I get really mad and flip out. My dad is also pretty tech savvy, but he's not too well with internet stuff, just how to build computers and what is inside of them.

Kenome-Chan 02-26-2015 02:10 AM

I am a pretty big gamer so I pay attention to the saves and stuff.
It's important to know how much space you have sometimes when you want to download games.

MoodyBats 02-26-2015 02:15 AM

Sorry I left for a while
I went on recolor.me and made a thread about my laptop
and now I have a better idea what is going on.

I also downloaded the Cclean up which did a good job
of cleaning it. But it will clean it whenever it feels it needs to.
So hopefully that'll be less stress on me.

Amane 02-26-2015 02:16 AM

In truth, I'm long out of the habit of ACTUALLY hitting my computer, but you get the idea.

Sleepy Anarchy 02-26-2015 02:19 AM

I'm not even gonna say all thes tuff for my computer.

Amane 02-26-2015 02:20 AM

Tinkerbell has all the fancies.
/wait
/ALL THE FANCY SHINIES

Sleepy Anarchy 02-26-2015 02:24 AM

Yeah... A few too many fancy shinies.

Amane 02-26-2015 02:26 AM

Hang your computer from the ceiling and turn the lights off shinies?

And I'm not turning my lights off, because my light changes colour.

Amane 02-26-2015 02:37 AM

Vanora 02-26-2015 02:51 AM

Kenome-Chan 02-26-2015 03:58 AM

Sleepy Anarchy:
Hey man Happy Birthday.

And sorry all that I poofed.
Went to see my friend Mist at work and score some food.

Amane 02-26-2015 04:03 AM

I don't know what I feel like doing.
